This wheel choice is killing me. Please see pics and vote
« on: October 26, 2007 - 09:54:21 AM »
I can't believe how hard it is to decide on some wheels. Most everything else in this build I have been very clear on what I want but I can't seem to get this done. I have waffeled so many times you would think that I am running for office.  I don't have photoshop so if any of you guys want to chop these wheels on a cuda that would be great. My car will be a restomod (very similar to Travis72 car) but it will be very dark blue (looks almost black in the shade) and will have a graphite AAR stripe. The stripe color is very close to the paint on the painted Torq Thrust wheel.

P.S. Have the rest of you had this much trouble deciding on wheels or is this just me being compulsive  :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

I'll tell you up front that a) I might eventually go with Torq Thrusts myself, and b) I think there are very few modern wheels that look good on an e-body, so you can guess what I chose  ;D.

I think it would look good with the torque-thrusts & paint the centers to match your graphite stripe.

I agree with the Torque Thrust, but you have to loose the Cobra center cap.

I like those Mach V's, who sells those and are they the correct offset? I like TT II's but I've seen them on everything. I had the Foose wheels on my Chally, but didn't like them as much as I thought.

I too must confess that the whell decision has been a tough one. I like the TT'2 and the more larger spoked and bold Coy rims. Fitment, ride, cost, etc all factor in. Whatever decision you make its usually one you have to live with for awhile. I am still debating between 17" or 18" and chrome or polished. I like a lowered stance and fairly smooth ride. I like bling but the only chrome on my car is the bumpers so I think the polished wheels might look better with the polished wheel opening and rocker trim.

These painted Coys look similar to your TTM's with a charcoal or graphite metallic painted center.

If you can swing it, the Fiske wheels are really nice, maybe have the centers painted in a gunmetal like the other example.

Well, if it's down to those three options, I have to vote for the third 'cause I swear just about everyone who has a muscle car has those first two rims - they look identical to me.

That being said, I not really into either of 'em.

They are made by Fikse and you can get them built any way you want. Everthing is a custom built. They do some street stuff but also do a ton of race wheels.
