shaker = no ac which a 426 doesnt even need to be mentioned in the same line. 15" american racing rims couldn't be ordered from the factory.  If I was to order a 71 426 hemi cuda it would be balls to the wall all out performance with no added weight.  All's anyone would be seeing would be my tailights anyways. But the car you just built would be a high dollar trailer queen. You know, a lookat me type of car. But it would be a very nice car.  A dan 410 with an automatic would be a real hand full tuned up for competition :2thumbs:

What I'm building now and Lucy otherwise I wouldn't have spent my life savings making them that way.

I'd also like an AAR 4-speed, T/A 4-Speed and 68 Charger R/T auto all triple black.

I`m with Moparal-mine would be a low option street racer but would already have lots of wins under it`s belt as I prefer the `70 Hemicuda,FC7,4 spd,4.10 Dana, white bucket interior, rallye dash,no console,AM radio.Add on some performance goodies, headers, traction bars and Cragars with cheater slicks and go prowling the streets looking for poor helpless fords and chevys!

I would still love to order a new 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe.  It would be about like the one that I used to own.  White with Black top and interior.   That is why I am torn on what to do with the 70 I have.   I will most likely build it the way it came from the factory but with some modifications that were done before I purchased it.  The 318 or 340 would be fine in mine.  I have owned most engine combinations except for the 426 Hemi.  I like the small block better and have since the start.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I would be with you clown. The reasons are simple, no 440-4 in 71 means to get air conditioning on my 71 convertible it would either have to be a 383 or 340 and between the two I prefer a 340. 340, pistol gripped 4 speed, light group, non console with white deluxe interior w/bucket seats, power everything-windows, top, brakes, steering, air con, FE5 red with white billboards, AM/FM radio, rear wing, elastomeric front and rear bumpers, painted dual mirrors, 15" rallye wheels, color keyed grille, road lamps. 'Cuda hood with hoodpins, dual exhaust with dual tips. yeah that would put a smile on my face for sure

Nice car Daytona, Mr Norms special too.  :2thumbs:

thanx NZ...

...the first owner of the car lived in Streeter, Il......it was street raced, painted gold metalflake and had a giant hole in the hood for a high rise intake......it looked hideous....I bought it from a guy in Mo. in 1989 after it was repainted the original color.....I didn't know the Mr. Norms history when I owned the car or I possibly would have kept it.....the next owner found out the history and applied for the paperwork from Norm .....

no 440 with air in 71 either. If you wanted air and a big block 71 'Cuda it was 383 or nothing.
