Tough to find & therefore expensive to get , you can build one from a truck Dana for around $800 , the only thing you loose is the pinion snubber mount

:o I was thinking about that and you're right about getting tougher to find. They use to be a dime a dozen. I talked with Strange Engineering and they apparently bought the rights to build the case with the pinion snubber mount but it won't be out until February. :-\

Try J & J Cars & Parts in Stark, FL. (904)964-5039, After 7pm EST (904) 964-7591. This is a large MOPAR graveyard.

Hey vette there was one on eBay not so long ago, I think it's still there for around $1,200  :D

Hope you get this in time, I wouldn't mind finding one but my 8-3/4 is just as mean  ;)

Thanks guys.. I'll check those. Personally I agree with you NZ that the 8 3/4 is just as good for street performance. The only condition I'd think the The Dana would out perform the 8 3/4 is on the 1/4 mile track with 500+ HP, slicks and good holeshots. On the other hand I've run automatic cars into the low 12's and high 11's without any problems from the 8 3/4. The big problem for me is that my Challenger came coded with A32 on the fender code which is the 4:10 Dana but it has an 8 3/4 with a 741 case, which is bad news for a 440 car that is on the heavy side.  :) :)
