Green cars, what?
« on: November 04, 2007 - 05:08:12 PM »
Just what is it about green cars that is so wrong? Yes, I agree some greens are just plain ugly but, certain greens when in the right lighting show off the lines excellent as well as the shadows of bumps and curves.
I have found 2 AARs both originally ivy green met. cars and both painted orange.
I agree about the green int. green int. are ugly with a green ext. you have to have the black or tan for contrast imo.
An F8 ivy green met. with black int. or a K3 burnt orange with black int. AAR is what I am looking for PLEASE stop painting em orange and yellow besides does'nt yellow mean  your :scared: scared?  :roflsmiley:

See, I knew there were more green aficionados out there.
Great looking combos!
I have had 6 cudas, three green I think the green just looks right on the design not all greens look good on all cars the lines, bumps, curves etc.. just don't flow in this color not to mention the all important shadows, take black just about any car can wear black and look good especially if the shine goes deep into the paint and red Enzo did'nt pick this color for nothing. Take a beautiful curvaceous woman and put her in a black dress then take the same woman and put her in a red or white dress then accent with gold then silver jewelry most will like the black/gold then red/gold.
Cars are kinda like woman (man, i'm glad the other half is in the other room) certain cars wear certain colors perfectly.

I have heard green cars are ugly, hard to sell, bring bad luck and will not bring the same money as the same identical car in orange, red, black (reason for my original post) just seeing what other have to say?
and the yellow thing :scared: just poking fun, I had a canary yellow vette once and man did that thing attract the cops as well as the bugs what was with the bugs?

No, no not trying to knock any color or combos just saying green on green is a bit much and the green ext. will benifit from a contrasting int. or vise versa my sig. car is EF8 ext. as well as F8 int. changed to black for the contrast.
Kinda like a red on red  :2thumbs:
Cheaper and easier to change the int. than the entire cost and process of painting.

btw this is a great thread............ i've had my green on green gran coupe for 18+ years and im ready to lose the green int.  kinda limited on ext. color choices. The more i see every color e-body under the sun makes me wanna keep the green ext. color and change to a black int.   But more than likely thats one of the reasons why it got the nickname of "Frankenstein" years ago

I think its a sin to change the color on a numbers car(or a non numbers restoring to original),even for a more desireable color.BUT if its a hot rod and has many mods,do with it what you want.ALmost all colors look nice in base clear, cant think of one i dont like
