They're getting ready soon to submerge the whole car in a rust removing solution thats non acid based.

If they remove the rust on that car, the largest pieces will be weather stripping, glass, engine, transmission and tires.

It should go to a museam exactly the way it came out.

   It shouldn't be restored or anything.  It's unique in that way.  You can usually find another example of those car restored.  Those cars are hard to find but not that rare, IMO.

I guess the owner of the car can do whatever he/she wants with it. I personally wouldn't do that.  Its history and should be kept the way it came out of that hole.

and then what?They`ll have a car full of holes that won`t be worth squat.If they restore the whole thing it will just be another restored vehicle with a unique history.Should just stick it in a glass case to preserve what`s left of it and display it as is.

Once its restored they'll basically erase all the events that went around it being a time capsule car. It just won't be the same anymore.

It would be neat if they could ask the people involved back then what they would say; should they restore it not and see their reaction.

It's been dead around here lately like that car, so I had to cook up something.

Poor thing.  That picture doesn't look like they have done much with it. 

I hope they get the car back on the road eventually.
