Did you sell your car? I know if I ever get another good E body it won't be leaving my sight...the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.   :horse:

Oh NO!!!!  Sorry, the car is not sold, its not even for sale.  It's hibernating for the winter.  When the sun was shinning earlier today, all I could do was look at some pictures of the Cuda on the computer.  That is why I posted this picture to get rid of the "winter blues" setting in.   :bigshades:

hooD, did the gold shag on the rear package tray help dampen the bass? :poopoke: ;)

The shag was the thing to do in the early 70's, at least where I grew up.  In my case it was gold shag which was really a toilet tank cover from Kmart that was cut to fit the rear window deck.  It did nothing to dampen bass from the speakers.

Fast forward to Sept of 2007.....I took the 35 year old faded shag out and threw it away.  The rear window deck is in perfect condition from being covered up all those years.  It looks better without it.  When i get some time, i will post a shagless picture.

I was having withdrawals myself and took out the '68 Cuda for a cruise. Had to burn a little rubber while I was at it!! It's like a dose of happiness!!!  :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
What a great use for a toilet tank cover. How noble!!! :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: I remember my high school buddy's '65 Sport Fury with the pop-top can ring chain adorning the overhead of his car!! Anybody remember the old pop-tops?? Ahhhhh the 70's!!

This vintage photo (#1) from 1973 shows newly installed Kmart "Gold Shag".  It held up for 35 years.  My wife suggested I toss the "shag" this past summer....she was right, it looks better without the faded shag.

Much better, did you put the shag back on your toilet for a keepsake.   :roflsmiley:   :poopoke:

I use to have Sheep Skins from the butcher who's shop was next to my parent's house. I had it on all of the seats and put it on the package tray also. I will say it was very nice in the winter versus the cold hard seats.

Unfortunately, something happened to the server where the pictures are stored at, and they have been lost.  Soon, I will begin to repost some of my pictures.

I remember that KMart shag fuzzy stuff. My wife now had it in the back window of her car in the mid 70's. In fact I put it there for her!!!!!!!!!!!  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :smilielol: :smilielol:
