If you had a little more cash-ola to spend this is in MA:

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/469830527.html

They had it previously for $9k but dropped the price.  The previous pic was a complete car without the headlight assemblies in, in plum crazy, sublime, and primer.  Looked interesting!  You could ask to have pics sent.  I think it's 318, AT.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Thanks for the info.  I wish I could spare that much cash, I would love to have a 70 model.

This is the one part of the car that makes me worry.  How hard would it be to replace this rusty area around the trunk lid?

that gutter isnt bad. the filler panel is repro'd and there is a seam in that gutter to the quarter. its a seperate piece of metal. i wouldnt worry for a $1000 Challenger.....  :money:

alphabuck,
Thanks anyway.  I have been so busy lately it is hard for me to check the forum as often as I would like.

Thanks for the info, I was not sure if that part was reproduced or not.  Do you know what they usually run for?

well..... i wouldnt think that the filler panel is any more than $200. the gutter would have to be either made or cut out of another car. depending on you metal skills, you could just crimp your own metal...  :chatting:

I saw some /6 engine parts for sale locally here:  What's a Super Six anyways?  :clueless:

Thanks

I think the super six was the high performance version, but I am not positive.

I have been busy spending time with family and trying to catch up on stuff around the house, that the Craigslist Challenger was not pursued like I was planning.  The page has expired, and I am not sure if it is still available.

I am still open to finding a shell, maybe a little closer this time, so keep your eyes/ears open for me.

Thanks in advance.   :2thumbs:

The super six is the 2 barrel carb and manifold for the /6, as compared to the single barrel.  A must when going with the leanin' tower of power.   :2thumbs:
