I am going to start with losing the Flowmasters. I found some new Magnaflows on CL this a.m. really cheap but I dont want the Flowmaster volume. Am unfamiliar with their line, which Magnaflows are the quietest?

magnaflow XL are louder than regular Magnaflow       (called magnaflow and asked about a month ago)

their response was overall, if you want a quieter muffler, then you gotta go to a bigger muffler.   the 14 inch mufflers we have now just arent going to be quiet unless they get all restrictive.

Magnaflow should be more quiet than the Flowmasters from what I understand.

eager to see/hear what your results are.      :working:

I played hookey from work today and drove the car over to a local shop. The quietest muffler they had was too long for the space available. The next alternative was stock turbo mufflers. These were a little longer than the FlowMasters but tucked nicely in place.  Fired it up and it sounds great. Still deep and throaty but MUCH less noise in the cabinand a lot still being directed out the back at high RPM. I would have liked quieter and they mentioned we could put resonators or glasspacks at the taile end but I don't think it will be necessary. This a great improvement and will work for me for now. Both installed for $100 out the door.

These are probably cheapie, no-name brand but work for me and have a one year warranty. They are Goerlich Xlerator BigMax turbo's.  I am guessing dealer pricing is prob $20-$25 ea
