Robert,
The brake lines look nice. What are you using for the clamps? Great looking.

Thanks ALL!  I can use all the encouragement I can get right now.  Stuff rarely goes as planned.  The lines aren't quite what I had in mind going through the crossmember. As for the line clamps...They are Billet specialties. From jegs. They come in a few sizes, and aren't too expensive. You get four per pack.Work great! But the countersunk fasteners they came with suck. Had to re-do them with course thread. The two "posts" for the line across the back are just threaded rod, alum. tubing as a spacer. Then a stainless cap nut.  That part came out alright. I'll get the brakes and finish. Not real sure where the calipers will end up.

Hey Scott, So braided line is o.k. for fuel line front to back?  I have no return line.(?) the new frame is an exact re-pro. It does have the holes back there. If I use the flexible stuff it will come out of the engine bay through the old shock tower. :misbehaving:

The red is a touch darker. Paint has faded. It will be better though. No sweat T.J.  At this point it's gonna' happen when it happens.Doubt I'll make Goodguys this year. It's my fault for not remembering how long it takes.Should have ordered sooner.

Although no rear brakes could lead to... :burnout:   ::)        hey everybody

If you guys are using stainless braided hose for your fuel lines, be prepared to replace them every 3-5 years. I've had several different versions go bad on my race car in that time frame and that was using pure gasoline, nothing mixed with ethanol that is more common on street fuels.

When it goes bad you'll notice as they become fountains spraying gas everywhere.

:clueless: I wonder why?  :dunno: one would think they would hold up at least a well as regular fuel line... :eek4:

I guess I will let you know in 3 or 4 years I will be changing something by then anyway.

Well I would still do it unless you want to mess with more tubing its your call buddy I have heard pros and cons I guess its something to put on the check list from time to time.

Also keep in mind that if you have more than 12 inches of rubber fuel line, you may be disallowed form running at NHRA sanctioned tracks. If that is a concern.

Hey Robert,

So are you changing from the VWW's to the rims in the chop?  What rims are those?

Still not sure on hoops yet.The paint trade for wheels fell through. The Duster will have to wait. All I need is my wheels bac and I'm rolling!!  Rear discs are in. Lines too. I have other hoses with 90* banjos just in case. New fuel line,Body plugs...  So the interior with insulation is in too. Starting to wipe it all down.Dusty!  Still need some little things. But I will probably start her up soon!!!! WoW!!  I can sit in it now!  Should be alot cooler in there too.

The hoops in the chop are nismo wheels.  I was considering the AR Rebels powdercoated satin blac  Cost effective.  But now The VWW's are going on. Mayby some goodyears this summer.

The rear discs were a surprise.  Expecting dual pistons to match the front.Baer doesn't offer them. I guess down the road they will be replaced.Bummer. Otherwise they went on pretty easily. Should be better than drums. :misbehaving: Might need longer studs.

If I put in the fuel cell I could start it right now!   :thinkerg:   :working: Gonna' be a F U N   Summer!!!!!!!!   :woo:
