    roof was toast. Not sure, Might have been a vinyl car. Gotta check.      The wide-body kit won't take me that long. It would be sculpted on the body in foam. Then molded.  I was an industrial model maker for a long time.  And it would be over the top...!

    Shaving the handles and markers.  Hmmm maybe run 70 fenders too. Then I might leave the lights. Hmmm.    Ya' Same AAR 340 stripe.  Guess I'm goin' red again.  Some here are trying to get me to go with the burnt autumn bronze.  Any thoughts? I like em both. so far I'm red.       

    Ya gotta' tub it.   Runnnin' 335's  275's up front.   Power rack now probably.

    Think of going maybe the whole 1970 conversion?  I.e. tail panel and grille?

    BE&A is selling their awesome 1970 grilles now for $525.  I bet you can get $1500 for your mint '72-'74 grille.

    awwgeeze...   that's not a bad idea. Butt I like the round tail lights and grille!  I'll consider it because of the AAR vintage trans am/pro-touring theme.  Hmmm ...    It's a BS23H code cuda though...   uhg.    Probably runnin the 70 lower insert anywayz.  hmm.   Any other good suggestions ?  :bricks1:      Roof/quarter is almost off. PITA trying to save it all.     Tail panel would kick me in the nuts. Toss in a trunk floor yo.    :poopoke:

    teaser shot...       can't decide if it's worth tubbing . the V48 wheels only come 11"   with the 4 link I have sum room.  us car tools fender braces, XV front frame connector, wheelhouses going in. small patches.   Still planning/scheming the frame connectors and roll bar. trying to make up an integrated removable engine bay brace with stainless inner fender well shields.     Right now blasting away.     can't believe I'm really doin it. This is really happening...   somebody slap me.   

    thinking of getting a spot welder for the roof skin to drip rail welds. any thoughts?     Can I spot weld right through the AMD coating? or prep as usual.  Just thought it would look perfect down the rails.    Anyone try the newest weld through primer from eastwood?  And Hows their epoxy primer?  I'm thinkn PPG tho.

    been busy...       blasting,blasting...And more blasting.   Almost there.  Working on window regulators and patches/grinding. waiting for metal goodies. I wanna try one of those rotary cutting bits some of you use.    About to pull the front K.  Getting the plates for the front frames ready. they match the fender braces. I've used eastwoods rust encapsulator throughout the inner roof structure. The bond is amazing! Can't scratch it off with a screwdriver. Had good luck with this product in the past. I used the small tube and brass tip that came with their internal frame coating along with an airbrush. Worked great! And gets in the tough places.  Got a gallon of black epoxy primer for the majority.  Trying to slit the floors along the frame connectors and push them up.   Lot's going on around here!   I'm excited. And tired.    Every now n then I find myself cracking an evil little grin.  :biggrin:

    While its apart and you've got the welder out, stich up some of those seams and reinforce the joints on the cowl and A piller area. This are is subjected to some of the greatest twisting forces as a result of the transition from the open engine bay and front suspension section to the passenger section and primary body structure.

    Robert,
    Was your inner uni-body below the roof above the side windows ok or rotted? I have a chunk of Cuda inner rail if you need it. I can't remember if it's DS or PS at the moment. I'm talking about the compound curved piece that always rots out.
    I had to replace the roof on my Challenger also.
