High Performance Mopar magazine did a 340 conversion in a Conquest way back in the early 90s. They documented the whole conversion over about a year of articles. Turned out pretty nice and I've wanted to do a similar deal ever since. I've even got a '92 Stealth to use for it, but, time to work on things is a premium for me.

Man, if you could get the engine to sit back far enough that would be one sweet handling ride there.

An aluminum block gen 3 hemi would go a long way in the power to weight ratio  :burnout:

Suprisingly, in stock R/T trim, the Stealth weighs more than my Challenger, by an easy 500#. Since it is FWD and not AWD, I might actually come out with a weight advantage switching to a V8 with RWD. Plus there are enough aftermarket goodies for those that I could step up springs weights if necessary.

hemi quest...   I like the sound of that...!         why doncha all come on over and swap it for me...?     So I couldn't resist picking up these louvers.  Changes the look quite a bit.  Wutcha' think ?     Sure is a fun little car. The guy i bought them from has a parts car. 300$  er so.  Might consider it.

And I'm fitting up the quarters/roof on the cuda.   It's amazing to me how well everything fits! Sure, Little things here and there. But overall it's darn near perfect!!   Gotta' stop playn' with the quest and get more metal!     You should see the gleam in my eyes when I run my hands all over it...   like it's a woman...    :-X

Going to be a fun weekend around the shop... :working:      R/T

Got the L. wheelhouse welded in. Finished up the sub-rocker patch.   Fit up is going good. The drip edge is screwed off with self tappers. I was able to arch them to the scribes I had made prior to demo.   Rear valance is close, Just need to cut off the tabs and weld them back on to suck it up at the seams a little.     Going to work on the quarter glass regulators a bit while there's room and get ready for final fit-up.

Can't decide if I should paint the backsides with single stage paint.    Bedliner?  Hm.

Time for a hippie cocktail and a mint chocolate-chip ice creme sandwich...   Then it's 2nd shift... :cooldancing:
