I think the red stripe looks awesome.  :worshippy However, I've restored three AAR's now and I've never heard of the stripe gap lining up with the door gap :clueless:.
Your rear section looks too far forward now, I would have not concerned myself so much with the door gap :2cents:

Being a modified car.....it doesn't really make a difference what anybody thinks...there's no right or wrong :drunk:

Your car looks beautiful!  The stripe is actually split across the door gap instead of lining up with the gap.  But as Alan pointed out, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks as long as you are happy with it.

Yeah, The stripe really brings it all together.  My all-time favorite!    I tried to put it on as it should have been. but it just didn't work out as nice at the front gap and especially across the handle.    The black outlined CUDA340 section makes it look shorter too.  Really fought getting it low enough at the end.  While keeping the gap perpendicular.   Overall it's laser straight, And I LOVE IT !!!   At first glance I am in awe.   Had to go out just to stare at her.       No way I'm missn' next golden supergruize. No freakn way.    Unless of course it rains.    :eek4:

Awsome all around but you absolutely nailed it with the strips/strobes.

Been a while since I checked in on your build.  Wow!  It's really come along and is absolutely gorgeous!  :2thumbs:  Love the red strobes.  That cinches it for me; red hockey strips and a red shaker  for my black Cuda!  :ylsuper:

With the black car and the dark shadows it looks like the red strobe stripe is floating off the car.

bus busy busy.  new tires!!!  Be painting the letters white. Black lugs.    And finally the F/R glass is in!!   Love the color!!   Really came out nice and was worth all the wait.  So I'll be on to the interior more now.  Most of that is ready to go.  Drop off the rear seat at upholstery. need door panels.   And sourcing the window track on one side.

Gettn closer.   :stirpot:

The hood pins are aerocatch 120  flush mounts. But they are bonded in. Not mounted with the trim ring. So ultra-flush.   I have a set of 125's that mount from the top that I'm not using if you're interested.  Would be 1/2 price for you.

Wheels are Vintage wheel works V48's 17X8/9.  Gonna put 11's on over winter.  They are plasti-dipped to get through the season. Powder coating  eventually.

Thanks for the encouragement.  Interior is slowly coming together.  And looking real good!!   How do the repop door skins fit from Roseville?  I may go that route.   Rear seat at the upholsterers tomorrow.    Ok, Ok    I may be getting a little excited here.  Soooooooooooooooo    close!!!! :working:

Yeah, That's how I feel.   :wow:          Hard to believe.

Got the seat over to get re-done.  Ordering stuff.  Trinkets and beads mainly.   Trying to clean up my door skins for now.  So far so good.
