    thanx.     Ok  after much deliberation… I have decided to share "my madness" with you.  These photos are for a short time only…   

    The lines on this car have been accentuated. That's what I call it…   Having done 3 cars just practicing for this one… And sanding for 30 yrs. has let to this.  I'd like to leave behind something remarkable when I go.    The straightest cud a in the world…   so here's how it happens.   Warning!!!   Graphic photos..

    step 1:  Get car straight... :poopoke:
    step 2:  Tape off body line perfectly         1 layer of blu, 1 layer of 3M ext. mounting, And another layer of blu.
    step 3:  Mud the top and sand through consistently until you see the tape line. 
    step 4:  Pull the tape
    step 5:  Tape off the other side of the body line
    step 6:  Mud the bottom and sand through consistently.
    step 6:  Stand back and stare at the perfection…

      Takes a lot to do.  As an industrial model maker it's pushed me to the limits and beyond.   This is the method I've developed over the years.   Nothing else will come close when she's black.  Nothing.   And I do not recommend doing this unless you are seriously prepared... Mentally. Physically, Financially…

       thank you very much for the kind words. Been tough.           soooo…  I've been sanding a lot. Too much.    Everyday…. For months.   and months.    Pushed me to the limits and beyond.  Starting to see it. Slowly.   10-12 hr. days sometimes.   Kinda slow at work and had real warm temps. here so I've been hitting it extremely hard.  Like on another level.  Lot's of friends stop by the shop.   Everyone asks the same 2 questions…   what color?   and when ?     I say black…and never…     

    Nobody knows the real time I put in.   Kinda prefer to hide out in my little shop.   No one seems to understand.   Like Christine... :icon1   
     
      I've also "faceted" the car.   Meaning taping off each body line…  Priming above the belt line and below the style line on the bottom of the door.  And then the center portion separately.  Not easy.       Sooooo many little things here and there…    Gets discouraging sometimes.  Hard to keep it in perspective.  Tired.  Starting to get expensive too…     

    Don't wanna radius the panels. uhg.  Maybe somethin tighter like a 2mm. ?   It is incredibly crisp. Fighting very,very subtle things now though…   
    Lookn' forward to gettn back to the rear bumper/valance/tailpanel sections !!!    Maybe someday…    For now….   I'm deeep in the trenches.  And calling

    NO QUARTER !!! :aarg:   R/T

    Sure, you can do panel alignment but your window alignment SUCKS!  :bigsmile:
