I used to think the black on your Charger was the nicest I had ever seen. Looks like you did even better on the 'cuda. Nice work!  :2thumbs:

By the way, did you ever nail down the source of the vibes before tear down?

THANK YOU ALL!!!
I couldn't do this with out you people here! No way.   Full on assembly mode around here. Where to begin?

Wiring harness  is in and getting routed. Still thinkn on a couple circuits.  Hiding everything I can. Need to make some decisions. But it's going really good so far! Instruments are soldered in.
Working on the wiper stuff. Final install. Dash is at JD. Rest of the dash is close.
Column is here and gettn Fabbed in through the firewall. waitn on some parts.
Cleaning up the engine!  It's going to be run out of the car with the tranny soon. To isolate the vibe issue. I believe it to be driveline angles. So I got sum ideas there.
seats are mocked up for steering wheel and column finals. Cipher offers the material so the rear cover will match exactly. And a few other things...
Sooo many little things going. Pedals,Brake stuff. Gas tank and lines are in. Considering shooting the tail panel satin black so I can toss the rear bumper/valence on and pop yur heads Ha!
Battery in the trunk
Billet switches for wiper,headlights,Ect…
LED lighting
Check out the tail lights!  Probably tint them.  Amber outer rings and red centers.  All 4 the same. small white LED backups down low in the rear valance.

So… I'm foaming at the mouth here!!   :woohoo:  Lot's more to come!    But I've come a long way Eh!?!?

I love what you're doing to your car....I notice that image...that's an Aaron Beck job, right?  He did some for me a while back....looks like we have the same taste

I like the side exhaust on yours and am thinking of doing it with mine.....just have to see if my local exhaust guy can do it cheaper than what you paid for it  ;)

Great progress!  Keep at it!

Time for an update:

Been busy. Wiring is nearing completion, A few more decisions to make. Little things.   So where to begin?  taillights are in and ready for blackouts. Full system check has a bug er too. The column has been fun! Especially gettn the GM dimmer switch linkage out!! UhG.  Made up a relay strip and the "brain box" for the push button. It mounts up to the strip of angle with all the holes in it way up in there.  Came out nice. Works great.  Alternator wiring (+temp.)  complete. It's run into the frame immediately,Then a small "s" and out the bottom. Along the frame, And up.  The chrome easter egg is gone! Check out the brackets. Those fasteners are for mock up. I'll finish with ARP stainless 12 points. Need to hack up the the column drop a little yet, Finish up all that.  Got it real close though. The shaft support bracket is almost done, Gonna thicken the flange where the eyelet mounts and probably paint it silver to match the RMS.  I ended up, After a lot of deliberation, To notch out behind the wiper motor. Fold the wiring in. And run the rest right there too!  (MSD).  That is mounted facing flat. (really slik like) Up to the bottom of the cowl behind the glove box. As is the 70 fuse. Ummmm  1 Amber  5mm LED in each side mirror as a directional.  The headlights have 10 amber 5mm LED's for directional/running lights up front.  That's all wrapped and loomed  up and into the US car tools upper braces and along up to the front. Like some of the other members here have done. A great Idea!!!  Third brake light is 5 red 5mm LEDs in the AAR rear spoiler.  Starter switch stuff all down low. By the Z bar. Whatelse?  Hydroboost soon.  Came to my senses.  Oh   And check out the match I got on the steering wheel and seats!!  Almost perfect!! Probably powder coat all the march pulleys/brackets black. About to mount the radiator/fans.  Clean up the wiring more.  These pics are old. Hard to keep up.

Guess I'll get it off my chest here…   I'm about to cut/remove the cage. It's cramping my style.  Not enough leg room. Not that type of car really. Adds weight. Made it so the back seat fits.  Ha   WHY!?   dumb.   This is a little street car. Local show car. Sat. nite cruiser really. (Not sure I'd wanna swipe the tires off turn 3 at 120 mph)   UhG.  It's for the best. It's not welded to the floors er anything yet.  Where is that cordless sawzall?   What do you think?

Ya all those chops of Aarons are of a pic I took.   :picture:

Waitn' on exhaust.  Dash pad someday. I should be ready for that. Choosing tires soon. Probably niTTos.     Been all over n up n down this thing lately. And lovn' it!!
Wanted to thank you all for helping me so much. Through the years.  Come a long way!!  It's been quite the ride!!!  :cooldancing:    ok sum piX.   R/T

Reference your position on the cage; I went through this same thought process (although I didn't actually buy and install one). I kept thinking I needed one really more for the "look" or to fit the theme than anything else. I talked to a buddy about it and he made a very good point; unless you are building to a racing class (SCCA, NHRA, etc) you are kind of wasting time and money, because if you decide later to do any of those events you will most likely have the wrong, incorrect or not enough cage. Subsequently I decided not to install one. I am still looking at a seat belt bar however for some road racing but that is probably in the same vein as the cage, more about the look than actual use. I have a 5 point in my Viper (ACRs come with them) and I have to say for anything other than full on racing it is unusable. I strapped in once just to do it and like you would expect, there isn't any moving around (read comfort).

Long story short; get it out and enjoy the car.

I'll second what 70chall440 said on the cage and add that they may be more of a liability in a street car.

 :iagree:
Unless your going to wear a helmet and roll bar padding around any possible contact area when you drive it..... it's something that most likely will cause you harm in the event of a wreck . I'm pretty sure this is how insurance companies see it too.

Not to mention it is PIA to make everything fit around one. If you don't need one for some reason, no reason to have one. Sure they look "racy" but as Brad is saying if you are not wearing a helmet and strapped in, then in an accident it is one more thing to slam your head into, or worse your passenger's heads.

But in the end and as I always say, it is your car; build it how you visualize it in your head. I have done a lot of work due to "just because" or "because I think it is cool". Not hating on it either way (but you did ask...).
