Beautiful Build.  Can't go wrong with a Black Cuda!
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Dash pad showed up so started playing with that. Got it in and had to remove it again to "adjust" the frame with a hammer a little to get the Left side down. But not without the 2 most difficult studs gettn pretty messed up by the factory "nuts".  Got some flanged ones to do it better. Really fought but it was worth the effort.  Turned out nice!    Tried installing the aftermarket lower dash pieces that matched the gauges. Was putting in the last screw on the Right side and the mounting posts all fell off!!  Ha. Garbage.  So I got out the old ones and they fit and look twice as good!!   Finished up the headlights.   Lotsa little things. Waiting on the new speedo sensor.   And connected the starter wire to the relay.  She's now ready to fire up.  Seriously!  WoW.  I'm not ready for this. Ha. Gonna b sweet!!     Exhaust is still a ways out!!!  They can't bend the 135* tips.  Waiting on new tools.   UhG.      So I'm trying to psyche myself up to really go at the headliner. Can't find someone to come to me and I don't wanna take it somewhere.     Ordering hood/F. bumper tomorrow.  I've decided.  It's time.   Trim will be ready by the time they show. I can almost smell the Satin black paint now!!!  Soooo  clooose!!!  yet so far.

Oh, And got Luci out to stretch her legs.  Nice to see the Charger again!!

Headliner is in and almost done.  Need to steam a couple spots and roll her out in the sun.  Got winter comin back.    Trim is in the process,Lot's of prep work but it's looking good.   Front spoiler showed up,Personally it's the worst piece I have ever seen. (#48 re-pro)   My first response was to send it back.   Basically garbage.

Still no exhaust either.   Whatever you do,Never go to ram air.  They are a total joke.  But most humans are these days!  I live on a planet of hairless apes.  Maybe someday they will come back for me.

If you're gonna do something, Don't do it half-assed.

Rear spoiler:  They decided to go on vacation. Right after I ordered.  Like slo-motion around here and I'm trying to turn it up a notch!!   So I'll sit and fiddle with all the trim while I wait for the rest.    Got a call into my glass guy, Trying to get them to come here this time.   They did a great job on the charger,But had to drive it with goggles on!  Ha.

And it's about time to order up the stripe!!   :stir pot:   R/T

sorry about the little rant.  Gets frustrating sometimes.   Lot's going on around here as usual. Hood and front bumper should show tomorrow. Hood hinges from RB are out for a long time. 6-8. And they've been waiting 5-6 already. So I might pop the springs out and try my oldies. They are toast and I'm not thrilled about bolting them in. Gonna make a gasket to try and not scratch the paint too bad.    Got glass in the works. And still waiting on exhaust. (broken record)  That sux because:

IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!
YEAH!!  Rolled her out toady to get a good look at what I've created. When you work on something like this for so long and hard. I kinda forgot it was supposed to move! HA!   The shop is small so it's hard to stand back to get a good look sometimes. Been a long time since she's seen the sun!  WoW!    Looks amazing! Pix don't do it justice.  I was rather speechless. It looks great, Really shows all the epic hard work on the body!  You know I sanded on each side of the car for over a year! No really.  Crazy to see it all come together now!    I am beginning to fathom driving and getting this thing to where I'm just tinkering by the end of next month! (May31) Been a huge goal of mine.    Today was huge!   I think I can do it!

All the gauges work,Electrical system is fully functioning. Not bad. Not bad at all considering electrical is my weak spot.  Getting real close to shooting satin now. tail panel is prepped as is all the trim.  Stripe is here!  Looks great!   Except the back part where it says CUDA and the shield are outlined in red. So I'll use some other ones I had Gary make up a few years back.     Just kinda undecided on whether I should put the stripe on and tape off the blackout off of that? Or paint the AAR blackout and then set the stripe to that?   Yeah,Probably not a big deal,Just how my mind works.    Brakes are buttoned up and bled. At last!  Had some little nightmares there. And got to learn more patience with my flaring skills.

She fired up just like I thought!  So Happy!!  Don't usually get excited,But I'm freakn stoked!!!  You should have heard it!! Made me proud.

got a video,Workn on getting that up,It's too long for some reason.   So here's some pix.

Wanted to say thanx for everyones help.  I know it's been a real journey.  Guess that's where the fun is though.

gotta be black though don't you think Brad?     I have been tempted to leave the grille and wheels as they are.  The cast look.    But am drawn to the darkside. :aarg:

Maybe try a can of that removable plastidip  in black to see if you would like powercoating the wheels you have now?  :dunno:
Your rendering does look cool also.... :-\
Are those rims (ebay)available with different offsets? I'd hate to see you mark up that paint!  :crying:

Yes, Thought of that.  The plastidip.  But why?  Seems like they gotta be like the rendering.  Can't find anything close with a decent lip.  So powdercoat seemed the best solution.

Maybe I'm just so used to seeing them as they are.  Need a change.  And wheels are critical.   Not to mention tires.   So I gotta pick something!!!   Ha

I wanted black rims line the forgeline too and searched for 3 months to no avail.  I ended up with US Mags and really like them and the price too!
