No I am painting the fenders on the car (I built a stand as well). I am going to look at the hood grille, that looks pretty cool.

I do happen to have a grille, actually 2 of them that are busted up. One is really only 1/2 a grille. Those things are pretty fragile. Not sure where you are located, shipping might be expensive.

I'm in Boulder CO.  (the bubble)     Just need the one side of those fins er mesh area.  Yeas they are fragile! Been sanding forever on my grille,Going for a smooth look.    Almost there!    Lemme know if you have something I could use. I think it would be cool if the mesh in the hood scoop matched the grille.   Problem is they are barely long enough if not too short.     The gutter guard mesh is ok, But I'm still looking. There's quite a few options online.

One of my other hassles is The front bumper really needs some help getting sucked up real tight to the valence along the bottom on either side. And my little mount idea is too finicky and hard to get at to install.  So I considered another stud on the back on each corner and drilling a hole through the valence.  Uhg.  You wouldn't see it at all.   But the small thickness added by fiberglassing on a stud welded to a thin piece of metal would defeat the purpose of a tight fit.   So I'm uh considering getting it pushed up right where I want it and drilling a hole right through the bumper and valence. And using one of these billet flush mounted washers I got for the fenders and other panels.  Very clean. Black.   You wouldn't notice em all that much. and it would hold it really well.     Thoughts?    Hmmm

I will take a look at what I have and let you know, I will get a picture as well.

As far as you bumper, you are running a fiberglass bumper I believe correct? Based on what you are saying, I think your 2nd idea is the best one. If you make it look like it is supposed to be there, no issue and as you say no one will even see it.

Thanx!  It's getting there.  One step forward,Three steps back seems to be the pace the closer I get.  Struggling with the perfection as usual. The hood has me back in the trenches.

That bike goes to two places: the chairlift and coffee shop.      Lot's of great used ones.  29" are hot right now.  They really roll.

couldn't take it.   Had to get some of the little stuff outta the way!   So trim is all satin black!   Turned out awesome! Most of these pix are taken with it still a little wet.  Dried out a bit more.   And wow did it take more product than I thought.   All freakn overspray.   So I didn't do the tail panel.  That's next,It's all taped and plastic'd off waitn.   Love the smell of paint in the morning, Smells like victory.

Dang, Seems a shame to cut up one of them for the fins, Hmm     What you want for the worst? Thanx for the pix.

I agree it seems like a shame to cut them up, but since they are not made new the value has plummeted. I paid $300 for the best one, can't remember what I paid for the other one but it was more than it was worth since neither are truly usable in anything but maybe a race car. I am not sure what to ask to be honest. Make me an offer (you wont offend me).

Been tryin real hard. But things aren't goin my way.     Most of the stuff i order is out for weeks.  Or so bad it's got to be returned.   Really fighting the fiberglass.  Have to get to the point where I'm ok with it.  Days and days of sanding.         They finally charged me for exhaust 4.5 months later.  He's straight up lied to me on a couple of occasions.   Wonder if that will ever show.   Can't get a refund from talon hydro.  ,Some type of paypal problem. There goes 350$      Finally got paint for the rest of the satin and spend the countless hours getting ready.   Shot the tail panel and the rest of the trim ( till midnight)  only to find out it's not satin. I am broken.  Tired.  Frustrated.  Seems everywhere I turn theres some hassle.  Some problem.   Depressed.   Now I get to do it all over again. And it was flawless.
Did I mention I'm tired?    Been putting everything i got into this.  Used to really love the hobby.  But maybe it's time for something else ?

Can you give yourself a day or two off and just rest? Your building a car to a pretty high level of perfection, something i couldn't do. I'm not seeing a shop full of guys and Chip Foose helping you. As far as problems and solving them, when building custom, I don't have to tell you, it's a lot harder getting everything to work or come out right, this is what separates a lot of people from even getting something like this done/finished.
Can you slow down a little, maybe it will let you Continue to enjoy it as a hobby again?
Your doing more than a great job, this will be a very nice car, just don't let it eat you. Best to ya, hang in there!
