Add some dimple die sheet metal corner gussets (or something along those lines) -  would finish it out nicely...

I think it would look better made from round tube, but that's not really important, cool idea!

After way too much debate. I welded the brace to the plates in the back and bottom.I had plans to have it removable with three bolts. As opposed to 5 ohhhh   big deal. It's for rigidity. Much more so if welded. I'm gonna' weld flanged nuts underneath and in the cowl to ease in removal.  Still not sure on finish though.     Black,Silver,Chrome,Steel polished?  I don't know :dunno:  I got about 20 bucks in it so far.  I like working with metal.   T.J.   I'll just cut some gussets on my plasma table.   ::)      I wish.   I felt it cluttered to look too much. But thanks!  Your stuff is just over the top dude. Seriously.  :worshippy   I'm learn'n  This is my first project. Lot's more to come. Got some patches to get to down low in the doors soon.  Winter is back,So I'm in hibernation mode in the garage.  :working:  I drive this thing way too much!    :grinyes:

I found somethin' to do now.   :working:  I'll clean it all up.  Going to use some eastwood chassis saver type of product on the underbody. Looking for a good hard underbody coating I can spray on. Going to try and convert to coil overs. And a link set-up if I can afford it. Anyone know how much it is?     Get some more powdercoating done too.  What should i use on the rear axel for paint?     I've been waiting for this to get better access to fix that lame frame patch on the pass. side. :puke:     Guess I'll try and hack a portion of a frame out of the junkyard.   It sure will be nice and clean under there now.  The worst will be scraping off all the thick stuff.      Anybody have some advice for this little project?  Products?   Thanks :1zhelp:   you guys will help me get it back together right? :clueless:   Thanks Robert.

Propane torch and a 2" putty knife works wonders on old hard undercoating.

Finally got the exhaust out....In one piece. :-[   So the interior is out,Fuel/brake lines are gone,Cleaning out all the dirt collection areas. Then rust killer.  It's not as bad as I had thought. But there are those two small holes in the pass. rear.  I'll make up something. Gotta' cut the pass. frame connector out to fix that frame patch. Oh boy!     Whoever did this stuff is a total moron. I just don't get it. Why not do it nice?   I'm new at this and can do much better.    Gonna' be sweeeeet under there now!!!   :working:

I'm about 75 % done with the underbody scraping. A heat gun works better. Less burnage/smoke.Brake cleaner and scotchbrite next. It comes off pretty good. Alot of hard work. Sure is worth it.   Cutting off the bad, replace with new.  Ill need trunk extentions pretty soon. Do they have rear valence mounting tabs on them?      Should have it all off this weekend.   Wed. I go to FLA. to see MoM.  A "working" vacation. Last year she got a new bathroom. Now it's a hot water heater. ::)    Gonna' dig my toes in the sand.  Take a break.             Back at it... :working:

Looks good!  It's cleaning up real nice!

I can't tell from the pics how bad the frame patch is, but they make full rear frame rails now.

Hey Travis.      Looks like your ride.   :poopoke:  Yeah I know about those new frame pieces. 340 bucks!! :money:      How do I support it while I work on it?  :dunno:   The drivers is good. If I put a stand in the back,Just past my patch.Do you think it will be alright while I cut out the frame. I'd like to replace the whole curved piece. Would the car support itself? I just don't want it to twist.I wouldn't be able to put a stand under the front of the rear frame. :1zhelp:

I got the undercoating off. My neck has a bad kink in it too.   But the worst is over. Some rust encapsulator. Then a bedliner product.   Anything i should use?  Thanks. Robert.

I got good access to the frame now.  Spent alot of time shimming jackstands. And when it was all said and done...  It didn't even flex 1/4"!!!!   I am totaly amazed at how stiff it was. Got to be those frame connectors. I've seen it flex before plenty of times. But side to side it's stiff.   Time to cut!!!!  :cooldancing:   I've been waiting for this!  It's been a thorn in my side for too long.    It's really looking good!!! better than i thought!!! :drunk:   I'm looking for recomendations on underbody/floor products.    :1zhelp:       I'm totaly stoked!!!!!!!!!   :ylsuper:
