Yeah, let me see...       On those round tail light LED's ...  they were coooool!!!

As for the chassis saver...   I did from the firewall bac   with 2 quarts.First with a brush.Spray will never get into all the areas. Then a quic spray to give it the slight texture. Hide brush stroxs.  One of the letters doesn't worc  He he.      The chassis saver is tough stuff!!!

On another note....   Please don't get mad at me,But I need to vent.  I'm a bit pissed now.    I've spent 6500.00 or more with RMS. It's been a hassle for sure. Anyone else have any problems with Bill?  No customer service. No help.  Told me he'd send out those shox....   No shox.   He exchanges springs at about a two weec wait. Just all around pretty shadey.    It's bad buisness.  I've given up calling him anymore. So now I'm going to order shox from JEGS. They are among only two reputable suppliers I've used in 4 years.Moparts is the other. EVERYONE else has been a hassle. Even YO,XV,scummit.   Been my experience that there's 10X's more scum in the parts then the cars even! :faint:      there...    I feel better. Sorry.   Don't do that very often.   It's probably just me being dumb.  Since I am dumb.

Went to a car show yesterday, Sure was good to get her out!!!!!!!  First time to a show/cruise this year!    Lot's of people crawling around her!   They don't see one with this stuff often!     The new suspension is hard to compare....It's totally different.   Smoother yet stiffer. Adjustable.   I have to stop stiffening up the shox. The ride gets harsh,But it is faster.  Always a toss-up.    Not into cruisers. So stiff is better/faster for sure.    Manual steering has a tad more bump steer,But I built a drivers driver.     And is sure is!!!   Sometimes I even forget where I'm going!!!  :clueless: :roflsmiley:     It is awsome to drive!!!     It handles better than imagined!!   rob

I've always had good service w/Bill.  I bet things are probably pretty crazy right now w/Carlisle coming up.

Post a friendly inquiry on bigblockdart.com on Bill's whereabouts.

No offense JAS.  I appologize.   Hey Conv340. Thanx. I really needed that right now. :drunk:     Might dump the duster here soon.   :walkaway:       I don't really care too much anymore.  I'll never sell the 'cuda.  Rather give it away. Somebody here. I'm not frustrated about the money. Or the car.   Or Bill.   Is the hobby just that much of a hassle?    :dunno:                Do chevy or ford guys have to go through this?

No worries man....I could tell that you were frustrated and having a bad day.

I also know where you are coming from.  Last year I spent the entire winter (or at least the weekend nights) working on my  car, trying to get it road ready for the first time in 14 years.  I have two small kids, so not much time to work on it.  I finally got it ready to go in October of last year (So much for the summer). Got to take one long drive in it, but not much else.  Also spent way more than I thought I woudl on it.

SO this year, I wanted to finish a couple of things, but did not get stated in till March.  Now the nice weather has been here for a month or more, and I am still not done my car.  Spent way more money that I thought agian this year.  Have been up way to late the last few weekends and I am now beat all day long.  But hey one more good weekend, and I should be done and driving it.  Downside is I will miss the Mopar Spring fling this week end. :banghead: :banghead:

I am not sure if the other guys have to go through this , but I think it is all worth it in the end, Mopars are just cooler than those other makes.

Good luck man.

Jas

Yeah,I've spent ten times what I thought I would.  And I just started.  I know I'm difficult.Mayby I expect too much. Probably.     Good luck to you too JAS!   I set big goals. And achieve them at all costs. It will happen.  I'm looking into airbags now. It's the only way to get it low.And be able to drive it in reality.  This weekend is my birthday.I got my ride. 20 bucks for gas.  Half a pack of smokes,Cop tires, cop brakes... :bigshades:    Going for a cruise...       up the canyon. :smokin:    It will all work out,Just not on my time.  I still go along kicking and screaming like a fairy.    Nice mental picture there!     :hyper: :roflsmiley:         thanks JAS. you check out those lights?

Robert….Robert …….Robert….

Yes, the ford and chevy dudes and gals have the same problems we have in Mopar land.
 :burnout:
At the level you are making your car handle its all one off kind a stuff even if it’s off the shelf from a vender it still requires some degree of extra work. I have bought very little that didn’t require some degree of modding either to the car or the part or the next part to be installed that I didn’t foresee.
.
My way cool 09 challenger 6 speed I got over zealous and had to have doesn’t have a speedometer gear or a vss (electronic) single the new cars run the speedometer from the abs wheel sensors.   :bricks1:
  SOOOOooo
After I make it fit into my car I now get to figure out how to make the speedometer work. Don’t ask how much I have already spent on parts just to get it in the car. But I will make it work (side note the new T56 Magnum is the same trans as I have only with a speedometer gear and a vss just released it last month)  :banghead:

What I am saying is it comes with the territory buddy and you are not alone.  :bigshades:

Cool cars are gonna cost and that cost comes in time, effort, money, or all of the above. Figure if you have the skills, machines, and know how to build all your own parts, you may save thousands, but you'll spends hour upon hour doing it. Look at the Bruning Design car as an example of that. Other end is you buy everything and pay everyone to install it. Things can get done pretty quickly that way, but it is gonna cost you buckets of cash. Most the rest of us are somewhere in between. We buy some, we fab some, we install some, we take a lot of time doing it. All you can do is lay out a plan, follow it, and when your done decide what the next set of plans will be.

:iagree: with what HP2 said, it would be nice to pay someone to do everything, but there is a satisfaction in doing it yourself that you can't buy.

I have to agree that most of us do some of the work and pay for things to be done when we don't have the time or skill for certain things. (or special tools) I think it's normal to get impatient for things to get done on our cars but it's so worth it when it's finally done. (never finishes really) It's especially worth it to me when you see all of the same kind of cars at car shows and yours is unique. It's a good feeling when your car hasn't been road worthy for what ever reason and you get it on the road again. This hobby is definately not for those that don't have patience or are not willing to spend time and money. (maybe more money than the car is worth). It's a hobby for most and most hobbies cost us time and money but that's not why we have the hobby. It usually brings us some kind of pleasure....car meets..(social events)..keeping us sane with work and families to worry about, relaxation etc.... You just have to hang in there some people I have talked with have been working on their cars for years(10+).

Yeah, I need to hear those words. Thanx. I mean it.   You guys understand here. Scott,Your ride is crazy! ALL of your dudes cars are really cool too!!! We all get dealt our own rides somehow. The cars pic their owners.

So today is my birthday. I went to Bandamiere dragway for the Mopars on the mountain.  AND I HAD A FRIGGIN' BLAST!!!!!!!  WOWWWWW !! MOPARS EVERYWERE I COULD SEE!!!! Some pics...  sorry for so few,I was drooling everywhere. All over. It was BAD!! Never seen anything close to that before!!   Fast pass was a 6.30 Viper!!  Aww man was it as great day!!  My cuda ran awsome,Brought the duster too!!   A body's everywhere!!  i mean alllll  over...     Some great Ebbody's too. New challys,Neons,Prowlers. It was really somethin'! ALL MOPAR!!!  So now I need a 440 for the Duster. It will get tubbed n such.

nobody had a dream 'cuda. The RMS stuff is very nice. Just what I wanted all around the car for sure. The ride height will get there.

Didn't feel ready to let the 'cuda loose on the strip. It's not dialed enough to go out there right now. But soon. In fact,I mashed it once,She choxed a bit. I thinx the carb. is too small with that 3/8 " line. But the drive was just amazing. In fact: It's downright unbelievable. It's soooo smooth and stable. It chews for more. Exit's better,Less roll.Stiffer,stiffer.    What an awsome day!   I wanted to come here and say thanx to you guys for helping me out so much. You have made the dream 'cuda what it is. A dream come true for this guy.   Rob.
