NASA= National Auto Sport Assoc. Basically SCCA on steroids as they do predominatly amatuer road course stuff, but do offer amatuer racing classes. Here is the local  regional chapter's website; http://www.nasarockymountain.com/

It's on the 1st Sat. of every month in the Summer. May 1st is the first one of the season. From about 2 p.m. on the town fills up with old carz. Until total chaos just before dark. The epicenter is at the big Sonic downtown. You can't miss it. And you won't be disappointed. I'll be there with a bunch of Mopars. R/T

Got a call from Banimere raceway yesterday...  Turns out I took runner up in the Ebody class in the car show! WoW! I couldn't believe it. There were some really nice cars there. A purple 70 shaker Chally,A 70 wht.Chally vert with Black stripe. And A green 6.1L Chrome RMS shiny bottom 70' Cuda. It probably won.As it was done up.There were at least 30 E bods. I thought they were calling to complain about the dog not being on a leash.Ha.      Sure made my day!      Gotta' go pick up my trophy.   :cooldancing:  sweeeeeeeet.  The dude with the 'cuda is selln' me his unused set of XV seat belts for 100 bucks! We scored 1k worth of stuff for the Charger. And I just got rallys for the Duster complete with all trim for 225. Bill at RMS sent me the steering coupler I trashed. The lower one is going too. P/S someday.   It will get me through the Summer.  R/T   :burnout:

I've driven 4 days straight.  Loveland cruise,Golden cruise,Estes park show,Peak to peak, and then some with my buddy.Almost 1000 miles. Changed the oil,New plugs. Car ran flawless.  I'm having a blast!   Spent 4 hrs. cleaning and buffing. The only place it rained was on me. Oh well. Here's a pic of that trophy.WoW was I excited! Never had so much fun in a car before. I'm spent.  Work/rain forced me to put the keys down. Err should I say it was more the Charger calling...   :stirpot:

Thanks for all the help. This ones for you dudes out in the garage. In the dirt. R/T

ya the time has come... I've waited a long time for this.  Then it just happened... 24hrs. later and it was gutted.  The only surprise was the roof. At this point I don't even care,Even better to me. Now the whole exterior will be new metal.  Except the header and dutchman.   A few small flat patches behind the rockers and new outer rear wheelhouses.  Full cage,(not keen on cuttin holes in a new pad) New frame connectors,Front frame connector, And the new us car tools fender braces.     Lot's of ideas.   Ultimately I'm considering a completely custom fiberglass wide-body GTPU kit.   Butt that's for further discussion.  One thing I'm gonna try and do is make the back window pop open just a little.    Shave everything.  Maybe stainless engine bay shields off the fender mounts. New brace...   Oh how I'm on heaven.  You shoulda' seen the stuff flyin' off...

The roof is about to come off. A few more spots. Trying to get the drivers side complete. So I can jig it all up to hang on the wall. Maybe sell it on Ebunk.      There is no time frame. No budget...   And I'm newly single.    Even considering moving out of my place and into the shop.

Oh... And a few pix of the 4link for 70mopar.

Here we go...  This car iz gonna' be SiK...!

Whoa, what's wrong w/the roof?

I myself wouldn't wide-body it.  Maybe put some tubs in the rear to get some 335s underneath the rear so it can be dropped some w/o rubbing.

Might as well put some '70/'71 rear quarters on there to get the slimmer side markers, if going for a AAR type look again.

I wouldn't go TOO crazy; otherwise it'll take that much longer to get back on the road.

sum more...

Not that it wazn't siK to begin with...    :swaying:

And look wut waz under that skin.  I made the right choice to yank em'!     I eat rust for breakfast. Runnin' around 10 spot welds  every minute.  the roof took about 2 hrs. The trick is to crack the flange up after drilling a bunch out in a row.    I was amazed at how quick you can go when yur on the jazz.    Bring in the new metal...   AMD I luv you...
