Picked up a new one last weekend
« on: November 08, 2007 - 10:47:38 PM »
Here's the latest mopar rescued from the elements. It's a 73 BS G car that now has a 400. The previous owner owned it for 20 years and it has been off the road since 1995. He said he parked it due to rising gas prices. He had know idea huh? ( Of what gas prices would soon reach). The quarters are shot, but most of the rest of the car is pretty solid. The trunk is a little thin and has a 4 and 2 inch hole in it. The left front inner fender also has a decent size hole beside the hood hinge. Not too shabby though, definitely very restorable.

That would be cool wouldn't it? No, this one will probably be for sale shortly. I'm working on getting it running again first. I put in new plugs and plug wires, took apart the carb to inspect (looked like brand new floats) and clean it. I repaired some chewed through wires on the harness too. It will be ready to fire up soon. Here's some pics of the car as I found it, then some the next morning during our first frost, then some with work being done on it, and finally some shots of the worst of it.
