Wanted: E-body Slant-6 K-member
« on: November 09, 2007 - 12:47:24 PM »
Basically I am looking for one of the rare and usually removed k-members for a slant-6.  For those of you who misssed my other post, I have a small project in mind and want to know how hard it will be to find this piece.  Also how much?
Thanks in advance

I called Schumacher at http://engine-swaps.com/ and they have /6 to V8 kits but not the reverse.  :-\

Hope you find what you're looking for!  :)

I threw one of those away years ago along with the small rear end.  You might as well just weld one up.  That will be quicker than trying to find one.  Just hang an empty trans and slant block in there using the tranny mount as a locator, then break out the steel plate and MIG.

Not a guarantee since I cant find time much anymore, but I got one in this car that needs to be pulled. It still has the /6 in it too. But your wait could take 6 months...sorry

Hey Alan,
I am more than willing to wait.  I may not even be ready to install it in 6 months, so I am very interested.  What do you want for it?
