New wheels on the challenger
« on: January 24, 2004 - 04:14:22 PM »
Well finally got some new wheels for the challenger. For some reason I wanted to go the steelie look. I check out all the local yards and could not find 7 or 8 inch mopar steel wheels that except the poverty caps. So i went on Ebay and found a guy selling sets of Steel JJ wheels 7inch 4 1/4 backspace. From all the time I went to yards I would always buy any poverty caps i saw if they were usuable. I then ordered new tires for the rims. BFG radial TA's  275-60 and 235-60 up front. Im happy with the look, Just need to lower my whole car now but it's too cold! 15 degrees! Heres some pics!

Thank you very much everyone for the compliments. NZ They are white lettered tires but I chose the black wall to make it more sleeper looking.  Again thanks for the compliments, Nick ;)

Real nice 74 Chall. LB, that IS the color you want for you Cuda, I think Nick was the one who first posted that shade of blue, I believe it is called Intense Blue pearl, or something close to that, it's the same color that my Runner is painted.

I love that colour, I saw a mini at my painters shop something close to that shade only thing is Chrsyler didn't/doesn't make that colour so I don't want my car looking like a mad-bill clone when it's not, although for it to look like that - who cares!! LOL  ;D :D

NZ, that is a Mopar shade, but it was a color first available in the Dodge truck line, I believe first in '99.

You got that right NZ! In fact a kid at work was experminting (playing around) with paint and techniques, he shot his beater truck with black primer and then clearcoated it, the darn thing looks good, now he just wishes he'd taken more time doing the body work.lol.

LMAO!!  ;D Speaking paint terms of which I know 2% about, I have great respect for the guys/girls who paint there own cars, I'll give it ago one day just not on this Mopar  ;D

What's the closest to "Show condition Paint" you can get? I don't want show but want a all round good paint, my painter said he knows what I mean but I can't find the word to discribe it, people ask what type of paint I say: "Ummmm, close to show?!" LOL
