Another 1974 Challenger
« on: November 17, 2007 - 12:16:24 AM »
Hello everyone;

Thought some of you may like to see my ride. I ordered it new in Great Falls Montana right out of high school. Has under 40,000 miles on her. I refreshed the 360 last summer. All original paint and top. This Is a great site! Love looking at all the cool rides. I also have an original 1972 340 4 speed Demon that the wife and I plan to restore in the near future. Should be fairly easy as there is no rust or damage to the metal. As a matter of fact I was using it as my driver back and forth to work up until a year ago. Heres a few more pics of the engine and the inside. I apoligise for the size of the pics but have not figured out yet how to resize them.

Beautiful looking Challenger and you are the original owner to top it off....SWEET!  The paint looks great for over 30 years old.  I'd like to see some more pictures of your Challenger, some interior shots too.  And while you're at it, how about some of that Demon.  This is a great site and the information from the guys is top notch.

I also resized your picture, but not for avatar useage.  This is for drooling rites.  :clapping:

Welcome aboard royalbull73! :wave:

Great looking car! :bananasmi

My first Challenger was a GE7 burnished red metalic 74 non rallye 318 with the magnum 500 rims and I've been hooked ever since. I only saw one other painted that color at a car show about three years ago.

Wow, does that bring back some memories! :jumping:

Thanks everyone for compliments! To those of you who have asked for me to post some photos of my demon, I will when I am able to take some. It's the rainy season here in the great northwest and I have to pick a nice day when I'am off work to snap a few photos. She is a Petty blue with the white stripe. Has the four speed, white bucket seats and door panels with black carpet and dash pad. It has the flat hood  :'(. Wish it had the snorkel scoop  :thumbsup:. Have kicked around the idea of having her painted black with the white stripe and getting a snorkel hood somewhere. Any thoughts on this? Do you think this is a wise choise or would I be mucking up the value of an original car?  :feedback: Also will post some more interior shots of my Challenger and the engine bay. I'am quite proud of the engine as I rebuilt it my self and it turned out even better than I had hoped for!
