Will there be any difference in a 440 - 1972, between a car engine and an engine from a motorhome...

As far as I know it may be a cast crank and externally balanced but I believe 72 was the year the converted over from forged cranks to cast.....look at the balancer and if it has a big weight on the outside of it is a cast/externally balanced system...
just rip the guts out of it and build it up

it also depends what size motor home , the larger chassis have different heads & water pump with ports directly into the heads ,smaller motorhomes use a standard 440

but I will never run any motor without ripping the guts out and putting my parts in it etc... are you just looking for a 440 to pull out of one vehicle and drop into another???

I like the E-Brake on the 727, since it's going into my 59 DeSoto..
But it got to be a "normal" 440..
