Torsion bar install
« on: January 26, 2004 - 04:44:20 PM »

As I'm starting to get closer to the install area... is there anything special that has to be done to install the torsion bars?? I'm working on cracking the adjusting bolts on the LCA's loose so I can align that up, but back in the frame area... anything special?? I've got the spring clips and I'm thinking about ordering new boots that go around the bars... but it's all filled with grease in there... I'm going to clean that out... should I put some new stuff in there or no?? ??? ::)

grease the socket in the LCA & the Anchor in the frame , drop the lca down as far as possible & back off the adjuster to get it lined up properly. Use a top quality grease like synthetic or CV joint grease so the oil will not drain from the wax & just leave a hard wax in there in a year or 2
