Mine are from a 80s diplomat or similar chrysler in that era. Any junkyard should be littered with them.

That is if thats the one you are talkin about..

Yes, Goody, this is the one I was talking about. From what I have read this is a bolt in deal for a Challenger. I am lazy though and dont wanna have to mess with a junkyard. Especially because it will cost me the same when you add up the time and hassle to pull it.

Trying to take the easy way out. :cooldancing:

I get what you mean, they're pretty simple to put in. I have one on my hood too, lol. Mine you needed to grind it down some to work right on my trunk, challenger should still be able to use the key without any mods unlike the cudas. make sure to wire a relay up to it

yup it is easy and pretty cheap. That firing solenoid even used briefly does draw some juice so a relay is a good idea. Ebay is a good polace to buy them as you can get the latch, the wiring and the switch and bezel. Mine installed nicely in my console but others put them in their glovebox.  I did have to fab up an arm that connected the remote key cyclinder to the latch cylinder to retain both key and powered trunk release functions. On the Challenger, that wont be an issue.

Would this one work too? Looks almost identical but says its for a  69-74 DODGE CHARGER, FURY 3, ROADRUNNER OR SATELLITE.

yes - looks like it is the same to me. You will do some hacking on the top of it to get it to clear your deck lid striker.
