    Auto Zone Motor Mounts buyer beware

    Okay so I knew better but it was Sunday and I ran to Auto Zone for some new Mounts. When I got home I opened the box and got two different sizes. So back to the store and these were the last 2 but the other stores had some, they called around. We found made in India, Korea, and 1 from the USA after I made them open the box's.
    I guess that's what you get for $8.99. The pictures show the difference. I thought I'd post so someone else doesn't make the same mistake. Are all the isolators made off shore? I'm not pounding on the car but I would like the engine to sit level.
    They are suppose to hold the one made in USA for me as I'm interested in seeing what it looks like.

    Just curious though, were both boxes sealed?  New Parts?  The one on the right looks like it was installed?  :dunno:

    I won't buy any more parts, other then like oil, filters from Auto Zone.

    I got a brake booster and master cylinder from them, the booster leak air after few months. Well they replaced free but then the new one did not work good at all, pedal was very firm. On my 3rd now, seems fine for over a year but from now on I am skipping Auto Zone and going to a real auto parts store.

    Generally I'd say go with NAPA. A little more $ but overall better stuff!  :cheers:

    72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

    1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

    yep those pep boys, advanced, checker, etc motor mounts are junk. my 318 ripped a drivers side the first week they were in

    They were both new. The one had another sticker which is used for store transfers, I guess.

    Local club member brought some of those imported mounts to a meeting. He maybe had them on for a month when they separated....rust between the metal & rubber...get your money back!!
