Another similarity (Who mentioned on this site?  :clueless: ) is to the grill on the new Chargers....
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

We all know '73 was the best year for Challengers, but only a few of us will actually admit it!

72.  Same great grill, without the ugly bumper guards.

If I was to ever buy an E body, it would be a 72 Challenger.

The year that was the greatest was 1970 for the Challenger.  I am the same way with the Barracuda it has to be the 1970.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I've owned Barracudas ('71 being my favorite Barracuda) and Challengers of various years. Never liked the bumper guards, but that's a simple fix. What I do like is the 70 or 71 Challenger front end/grills and the 72-74 Challenger rear ends. Anybody know of anyone doing a marriage of this type? I think a '70 Challenger with a '72-'74 ass end would look really cool.  Just my personal taste!! You know what they say about opinions!!! :smilielol: :smilielol:

There is a movie that was made in the 90's that has what looks like a red '72 Challenger with a '70 front end on it.  I'll try to find the title to it.  I think it has the decesed Brandon Lee in it.
