Sorry Wally....I've seen both the filler tube and vapor riser painted and unpainted and really didn't know what was correct.  Both had paint on them before so I just followed through this time around.  May not be factory correct and certainly won't be the only oddity on this car!  It's far from a concour restoration but it will be very nice.

Wow,  great color and nice paint job.  I'm not sure why this color is not more popular, everyone seems to like it.

Agreed, but A4 was just not a mainstream, high impact muscle car color.  Lots of Top Banana, Hemi Orange, Pink Panther, Go Green, not to mention you can't swing a cat without hitting a Plum Crazy car these days  :smilielol:  All great colors for Mopar muscle, but the A4 is rare, beautiful and classy at the same time.  I saw an awesome 71 Charger R/T in Lt. Gunmetal a couple years ago that made my jaw drop.  When I discovered by Challenger was an original Lt. Gunmetal car I had to take it back.  It will be a looker, no doubt!

I bet you can't wait to get the Challenger RT home and put it together. Keep us posted on your progress and keep the pictures coming as they look great. Thanks for the complement on my 71 Challenger RT that has always been painted Lt. Gunmetal as it came from the factory GA4.

71340RT,
I'm pretty excited to be getting it back home, but it's going to take a while to get it back together.  I just need to be patient and not rush the job where I'll have regrets later.  The paint and body are perfect, so it's up to me to keep from screwin it up  :scared:  If I can get my car to look as good as your A4, I'll be very happy  :2thumbs:  BTW, it's not an R/T car originally.  I was making it a clone and mechanically it's already there.  All I needed was the quarter panel louvers, but I decided not to go there.  I feel better about not cloning and have to explain that for the rest of eternity (not to mention if I ever sell and someone tries to pass it off as a real R/T).  Here are a couple other pics for entertainment sake.
