Can't wait to get this dream machine on the road  :droolingbounce:  Hopefully later this summer...still have alot of work and only so much time!

bb71...Carlsbad...very cool!  You're in the neighborhood by Western standards, only about a 4.5 hour drive?  ;D There's gotta be other folks on the board from this area!

My personal best from my house to my brother in laws house is just under 3 hours in my neon. He is just over 300 miles away  I dont do that anymore, considering going through this town, artesia, roswell, vaughn and encino, 100 mph average is pretty darn good. I love that car, it will cruise at 110-120 without missing a beat. I love Rio Rancho/Albuquerque, very nice town with lots to do. We will have to hook up sometime when I get my car back together......thats after I get it back from paint  :pullinghair:

Btw, I love the 4 speed conversion, it looks sweet. I dont know if I am doing it for my 71 or my 70 that is waiting in the wings but I am gonna bite the bullet and start gathering stuff for a 4 speed od conversion myself.  :burnout:

Three hours   :22yikes::scared: That's hauling a$$...State Police must be taking too many donut breaks down there  :smilielol:  Let me know when you're cruizin thru town and we can show off our cars   BTW, I was told there's a 66 or 67 Charger for sale around the Artesia area.  Let me know if you ever see it!

If I hear of anything I will let you know. You looking for a first gen Charger? The car of my dreams as a teenager is in Artesia. 71 Challenger vert, FE5, white/white. slapstick with air. The guy is just letting it rot.  :(
I will not have a driveable car for at least a year but if I get up that way I will shoot you a pm, maybe we can have a meet-n-greet at a pool hall.....or TD's  :woo:

I have a weird fixation with 67 Chargers...If I can find an original 440 4-spd car it would peak my interest   However, my Challenger project has sucked all my funding away for who knows how long!  :crying:

Picked up my hood today from the body shop.  Once again they did a nice job  :bananasmi They had a little bit of detail work to finish it then apply the blackout....took 4 months  :dunno: I told the guys I did not need it right away so it went to the bottom of the priority pile.  No real impact to the restoration schedule (what schedule???) so I'm happy  :cooldancing:
