I wanted to get rid of my mechanical oil pressure gauge before it blew oil all over the interior.  Besides, it didn't match the other gauges so it was an easy decision.  My tach is mounted on the front of the console.  Keep it up Faruok

Well folks, my project is almost finished  :bananasmi  Got the front end on and finally fired up and broke-in the engine.  I had forgotten how sweet that big block sounds   I need to get the headliner done (scheduled for next week) and then I can finish out the interior.  Everything seems to be working including all the electrical, instruments, the new 4-spd, and steering/brakes.  The entire car is really tight right now (expected with it basically being a new car).  Getting a list of bugs to work out too, but nothing major so far.  I've got 50 miles on it and can't get the grin off my face...that 833 is so much fun to drive in this E-Body  :burnout: Should have it ready for its debut show on the 20th.  I'll post final pics once it's finished and detailed.

Thanks guys.  It's hard to tell in these pics, but the car is still a mess and needs serious detailing before the show.  Once it's cleaned up I'll get some quailty pics and do a final post of this thread.  Maybe submit for the car of the month?  ;D  Thanks for all the support!  :2thumbs:

bb71...It will be at the NM State Fair on 9/20 if you're up in this neck of the woods that weekend.  The Mopar Club of NM has 30 spots reserved in the heart of the grounds and it is a fun show with tons of people.  When we leave the show, it's a parade of Mopars idling thru a huge crowd.  Hope we get good weather!

Well folks, I'm here to announce that this 71 Challenger project is FINISHED  :bananasmi :cooldancing: :jumping:   I've now got 250 miles on the new restoration, everything seems to be working and it's driving great.  The motor is beginning to break-in and loosen up as is the new 4-speed.  The 833 is such a blast to drive and it really makes this car feel like a real muscle car.    I can't believe this project is finally done and I actually did a complete restoration on a classic muscle car.  Many many thanks to all the folks on this site that provided support and tech help :worshippy.  I could have NEVER finished this project without Cuda-Challenger.com.  You guys/gals are awesome  :2thumbs:  I also have to thank my wife too who is totally understanding and let me spend so much time over the past 2-1/2 years to work on this.  She is great!  Now some ego-stroking....right out of the box I got it into a local Mopar Club show and took first place  :smokin: This was a ballot vote win by all the participants so it was a bit emotional to win after all the hard work and to beat out some really beautiful cars including a Plymouth Superbird, Hemi Challenger, Hemi Belvedere, and an awesome 71 Charger R/T.  Anyway, here are a couple pics of the final product, the first being my submittal for the calendar.  Thanks again!
