Resto Question - Stainless Steel trim dented
« on: January 22, 2002 - 07:22:05 AM »
Lucky enough ;D, or so I thought :o, I salvaged the tail panel stainless off of my 6 pack car (before it went bye-bye...).

There's a couple of dents I need out. I've buffed plenty of trim on the other cars to work through that part of the operation, but was wondering if anyone here has a DIY dent removal answer (method/tools/supplier), or a good resto-shop that restores stainless trim?

What about mounting clips? Thanks for any help...

I want to buff all the trim on my convertible challenger. I have done some with varying results but even the best has a very light haze that can be seen in the right angle. All trim is off car as I am in the proccess of restifing it. Sites, links, where to buy, what wheels, ect... ???

R/T specialties sells the clips you need  :) Polishing stainless is an art form, it's doable yourself but better left in the hands of a craftsman (especially those thin Cuda trim pieces that warp easily). Try "All Trim", I've seen their work and it's top notch.
