  OK we have must be a Barracuda,  Can't get Elastomeric bumpers(A22) or vinyl side molding & what's exterior trim A46? You do get Qtr.-Air Scoops, Black Painted lower panels & I suppose the pinstripe.
I've seen, at least on newer cars, that to get option-X you also had to get option-Y, now the picture of the red car above has the flat hood, Dual Sport Mirrors, & not red, I guess stainless grille trim like Alan's (not mentioned on the image from Barry), both are wearing Rallye Wheels, Alan has a Rallye Cluster, console.   Any other common features or are these listed separately on your fender tags?

My original flat hood is at a body shop just down the road from me. He is just storing it fr me. My fender tag has the rally dash option on it,  6 way seat, console, 4 spd, front rear speaker, and dual mirrors.  My wheel code is not on the fender tag.

For whatever reason, one M46 car does exist with painted bumpers.

For A46 see this page;

Edit;
It has A21, not A22 so it just has the front painted bumper.

Well Alan's must have the A46 package...I don't see any other way to get the rear trim(3-pc trunk & fender I'm thinking)"REAR SURROUND MOULDING".   Or it was part of the M46 like the grille that is not mentioned. Is this the grill trim referred to as "GRILLE SURROUND MOULDING" ?

The rear tail panel was part of the blackout, so the three piece molding set was used to cover the mask lines.

It is my belief that the grill trim was M48, as far as I know it was a seperate option. I have seen it on two broadcast sheets, but neither one was for a M46 car.

Is it possible your grille is from a Gran Coupe?  :dunno:

anything is possible. It was taken off the road in 1973. The chrome pieces were on the bench, so maybe they broke the grill taking it out and got a replacement or something. I got no code for them on my tag. I just took all that was babracuda that was in the garage.  But it had 2 radiators there. I took the 383  22 inch 4 spd rad since the outlets were right.  The fender tag doesnt say whether it was disc or drum, but it had standard front disc on it.

M48 is not on any of the 6-pages...

I know. The only place I have ever seen it is on the two broadcast sheets I mentioned. I thought the first one was a typo until the sencond one surfaced.  :dunno:

Barry, You think the 3-piece tail is included in M46 because of the blackout.

I know it was. It is shown for the M46 cars in the engineering drawings.

barry,

 a guess here, would the A46 option be the grill inserts (Grill Surround Moulding), and three piece tail panel trim (along with Wheel Lip Moudling & Deluxe Wheel Covers), that typically are part of the Gran Coupe & (already a part of ) M46 cars?   i.e. it would just have been a 'dress-up' package?   :dunno:

I know what A46 is, it is M48 that has me baffled.

One of the likely reasons A46 was not available is the wheel lip moldings. They would interfere with the scoop mounting.

My car didnt come with wheel lip moldings, but it doesnt look like it would interfere with the scoops when installed, I got some that slotts sent to me, but didnt want to drill any holes in my panels, or fenders right now, and Jim polished these all up for me to.
