rtgambit, thanks!  Now we're waiting for our torque converter and drive shaft to come in.  We're also waiting for our front and rear disc brakes to come in.  Hopefully they will all be here next week.  In the meantime, we'll start putting the front suspension back together...probably start that tonight.

Rev, what Kind of torque converter did you guys end up going with? I remember you were debating with what you were going to get.

We decided to go with a Phoenix converter.  They're based in Texas and they have done some great stuff for my brother.

Our cam is a Comp Cams...mild cam, duration is 224, lift .470.  The stall speed for the converter is 2200 - 2400.  Just found out it will be here next Wednesday...we'll install it on Thursday!!

Sounds like it should be a good setup... should hook nicely off the line!! ;) When I talked with ISKY for my cam.. the one I'll probably be getting is .448 lift with 228 duration at .050" (264 advertised)... need to run a 2500 stall with that.... :D

How REV speaking of stall, have you chosen a brand or called them up to ask what stall for your set-up?  ??? ;D

We've talked with them (Phoenix) and gave them all the specs for our car...engine, cam, trans, rear-end, etc...and told them what we were doing with the car (cruising).  We decided the best set-up for us would be the 2200 - 2400 stall.
