Pictures of firewall layout - 73 cuda with AC
« on: November 27, 2007 - 02:17:31 AM »

Hi guys,

Sorry about the noise, but could someone point me to the photos / diagrams of the firewall layout.  I found them on here once before, but haven't been able to find them again.

I especially need the passenger side for an AC car.  There are several vacuum hose lines on that side that are no longer hooked up, and I'm not sure what should go where.

Thanks,
Covert

Thanks Topcat,

Is there an equivalent diagram of the other side of the firewall?  The passenger side?

Thanks,
Covert

That photo is incorrect.

If it is incorrect, then post the corrections. Saying it is incorrect doesn't help anyone out if they don't know what is wrong.  :icon16:

Are you talking about the front side? I dont think there is but one vacuum line and it is the vacuum source for the AC switch/controller. If you are talking about the INSIDE on an AC car there is a vacuum "harness" that runs from the AC controller on the drivers side to various actuators on the AC plenum on the passenger side.

I've been thru all that, let me know and I'll see what I can scrounge up for you.

I now you are looking for somoe of the emissions stuff but this pic shows the A/C stuff in it. This is my working copy if anyone notices any mistakes let me know and I will fix it. I left it large so it is easy to see.

Not sure what goes below the reverse light hole, also I did not have a washer foot pump and mine was gooped shut what sould be there for this situation?

On my 73 Cuda that is where the tack wire comes thru. The washer hole is plugged with a push plug on non manual washer cars.
