Trunk Weatherstrip

I am changing the trunk weatherstrip.. what kind of adhesive shoul I use? any best way to istalling it? thank you.

It is called weather strip adhesive.  3m is usually good brand to use.

I would buy the black weather strip adhesive as if your a little sloppy it won't show up so easily. Tape it down with lots of small pieces of masking tape to hold it in place till the adhesive sets up spacing them a few inches apart.

 It cleans up (when fresh) with acetone, though you have to watch your painted surfaces. I know Lacquer won't tolerate it for long.

On another note, make sure the seem is at the bottom somewhere. Like near the trunk lock.

Follow the instructions. It usually requires the adhesive to be applied to both surfaces and allowed to sit to get tacky. If this is the case do small sections at a time.

I also recommend using the black (3M) I used the yellow once and its way to obvious!

   I will agree with this.   Another trick I use is use a bunch of clothes pins to hold it in place til it sets.
