1970 RT/SE Challenger 4 speed, clone or real 4 speed RT/SE...
« on: December 04, 2007 - 08:39:40 AM »
I have recent bought a one more RT/SE Challenger(resto roller), i have no Fenderplate or Broadcast sheet for it.
Is there any way to get some info on the car? The vin is JS29N0B115166(same on Dash and on title).
According to the previus owner this car is a real 4speed and the floor/hump look stock(no after welded 4speed hump) so i really want to know if this one is 1 of the 400.

Any help in finding out if this one is real or a 4speed clone is really appreciated

the sequence # will be stamped on the cowl & rad wall , so that would at least verify the R/T SE if it matches the dash #, it was built a few days after mine so somewhere in the first week of Sept

Congrats on your purchase ESGEE  :clapping:

It looks like at this time that there is no available info on this particular R/T S/E at hamtramck-historical  :(
Keep looking on the link that vertman gave......I always do hoping to find anything on mine also.
Good luck man

Judging by all of Barry's description on placement of these illusive sheets, they could pretty much be stuffed anywhere  :dunno:
Depending on what kind of mood the worker was in that particular day it seems
I wish the sob that was working on the day that mine was put in, would have found a better spot for it, so maybe I would have had a chance at finding it once I got my Chally  :walkaway:
Dam you jaded Chrysler worker  :swear:

Most of the time it is around the glove box somewhere. Believe me I looked high and low for one of the build sheets for my car. The guy who had the car painted sadly took the time to strip the interior so he could get the floors and jambs, not a scrap to be found anywhere. Having the fender tag is the only consolation I have even though it is just a 318 car. My brother in law found the sheet on his 71 340 'Cuda but I dont know if he ever found it for his R/T SE.
