Six Way Seat Tracks
« on: December 06, 2007 - 09:47:47 AM »
Finally found a pretty decent looking set on e-bay last night - clean, chrome knobs were good,etc.. Don't know if I got a good deal or not but paid $699 for them. Will worth it to me, had a set on my 70 Charger and loved them. Will have to get the underbody straps, but I am sure that I can find them somewhere.

Rick,

I hope it was an E-Body 6-way seat track you bought. It should have NOT looked like the one on your charger. I would post a pic if this site would just play nice and let me.   :pullinghair:

FY - Thanks for Harms tip - They are shipping them to me. They were listed as E-Body and looked nothing like the ones that I had in the Charger.

MEK,

Nick Garage did a nice job explaining the differences between the B & E Six Way Seats.

Thanks for the link!!   :worshippy   :worshippy

I have seen people try to pass B-Body 6-way seats off as E-Body seats. I'm not sure if it's a honest mistake, or what, but I'm sure the winning bidders aren't happy.  :grinno:

Thanks Barry. I went out there last night and printed everything. I knew if anywhere there would be some great info there.

Fy - The article in Nick's was great. The control arm on the one that I purchased does curve around the track as noted. Thanks a million guys - This info was very reassuring.

Now I am in a bind - All dressed up, but no where to go. Received the six way seat tracks and they are as nice as advertised. Went to Harms to order the undercar seat brackets only to find out that they don't carry them anymore. Now I have to hope to find somewhere else.

Madmax440,

Throw up a WTB on the board.  Gotta be someone out there that a set for sale.  Must have been a slow seller for Harms to stop selling them.  Hopefully, you still have your orignal seat tracks!!  Good Luck.

I would love to have the 6 way seat tracks.  I have a pile of fender washers there now to raise the seat so I don't need to use a phone book, lol!   :22yikes: :22yikes:
