Sorry to hear that you are selling it.  By chance did you ever take it down the quarter with that engine combo, it is very close to mine?

Yeah, I'm sorry to sell it too.  A lot of blood, sweat and tears, not to mention $, went into it over the last 9 years.

I never have taken it to the track.  The closest one is an hour away or so, I've never even been to it.  Its not really my thing, I like to go fast, but mostly around corners.  Thats what I built this car for.  The motor was supposed to put out ~ 400hp, with factory heads, and I added the Edlebrock which flow better, so I think it should do better than that.

Thanks for the call Jude, the car was a base model factory 318 car.  I added the 340, power discs, firm feel power steering box and cooler, sure grip, rallye guages, MP electronic ignition, sway bars, 8 3/4, hemis suspension, SE trim, and factory A/C.  Its much nicer then factory original.  Never got the factory cruise installed.  The rallye hood was on it when I got it.  The PO restored the car in the mid 90's and the paint and seat covers are from then.  The colors are original.  It took me a while to get used to a purple car, I usually like more subdued colors.  Now it seems purple is all the rage, who'd of thunk it.

Thanks again for you comments,

Thanks Badfish, I'm sorry I have to do, and don't blame me if back out of this thing.  I'm really suprised so far,  I really didn't think It would generate this much interest since its not all original.  But I guess who wants an original 318 anyway, I know I didn't.

Thanks again,

Chris

I guess the Craigslist ad has expired.  Here is a link to the ad I just posted at Moparts.  In it there is a link to some pictures of the car.   Sorry I have to sell it, we just had our baby, and my wife needs a new car.

Chris:    Congrats on the new baby!    I still plan on visiting your area and plan on giving you a call early next month -- if your Challenger is still available!    Hopefully catch up with you then....

Thanks guys,

I'm sorry I have to sell it too.  I always said I never would, I know I'll regret it, I already am.  I took my family to a birthday party down on the lake in it about 3 weeks ago (Its been in the 70s all winter here, 77 yesterday)  and it was the best time!  My son sat in his carseat in the back with his goggles on and hands in the air the whole time.   I swear I'm going to miss it.

Even my wife is having second thoughts now.  She told me the other day, that her Honda really isn't all that bad with the two kids in it.   I can't have her driving my kids around in that 16 year old crackerbox with the vert languishing in the garage though.....anyone need a cheap honda accord? ;D

Thanks Doug, I'll look forward to meeting you in person.

Alpha, is your house located on a lake perhaps.  Always looking for a nice place up north to escape the summers here  ;)

Thanks again for looking guys,

Chris

I'm told the link to webshots isn't working, I've tried it on two different computers and it seems to work for me.  Has anyone else had problems accessing the photos?
