What do people ask you about your car?

Hi everyone

Usually when I am at the gas station or store people usually ask a question about my 73 challenger. The most frequently asked question is "What year is it?" I do not know why, but I think there would be more interesting questions to ask. Maybe they do not want to be embrassed in asking what type of car it is. I had a couple of times where in the distance I hear them say to their buddy, "Hey, look at that charger" Also,I had person that asked if it had disk brakes. That was a first.

The second most frequent, "Are you selling it?"

I get the "what year is it" question a lot too. And for some strange reason, a lot of people ask me about the rocker mouldings. It always amazes me how many people notice them.

 Most people here in California haven't a clue what to ask... Just "nice Charger".

...many years ago, I was at a show one day with my red HEMI Challenger RT/SE.....a guy walks by with his girl and says to her "wow, look at that red Camaro, it's like new"

I don't know why but I get "nice Camaro"  alot more than I get nice charger.   After that I get  . . is that a hemi cuda?

 I always get "nice Charger!"  The funny thing is one of the few people that actually knew it was a Dodge Challenger was some drunk bum in front of the grocery store I was going into, he then tried to sell me some food stamps to support his drinking habit...
 I usually get "wanta sell it" 
 "What year is that?"
 "that thing got a Hemi?"
"What size motor ya got, 440?" (It's a 340)

I get "What year?" and "What's in it?" the most.  I also get "Is that your car?" because I look a little younger than my age.   

"Nice Charger" is a little annoying, but at least they are still calling it a Dodge.

get nice charger all the time. i normally let it go anymore, if my wife is with me and hears it she will crawl out the window and yell, its a challenger, learn to read..... at least she supports my hobby and is proud of it.

Most people say nice Charger about my Challenger then they ask what color is it and is it a factory original color. The Cuda has been everything from a Camaro to a Dukes of Hazzard Charger. Most people ask if either my Challenger or Cuda are for sale if I have both of them at a show or cruise.

Beyond the usual Charger,General Lee or is that a `70 questions the most asked is how much is it worth and how much money did it cost me to biuld.

I have a buddy that is forever telling me aout this Dodge Charger he seen for sale in a book, and every time i look in that book it turns out to be either a Barracuda or Challenger ............. I think he just has problems saying Barracuda or Challenger  and every time he see's one of these E-body Mopars it reminds him of the Dukes Charger , so i think that is where the confusion comes in to play.

But interestingly enough their are very few E-body Mopars roaming the streets in Australia, But when my brother and i went south to pick up his Barracuda project here in Australia i was amazed when we pulled in to a gas station to fill up with the Barracuda in tow on the trailer............. and this was around 11:30 to midnight when an elderly man asked me if it was indeed a Barracuda followed by what year .   I was amazed by this and forwent in a conversation with someone who was knowledgable to pick what it was, even in the condition it was in.............. Very satisfying journey.
