Go Speed Racer
« on: December 08, 2007 - 10:49:06 AM »
The new Speed Racer movie comes out in May.
I'm glad they didn't cast Tom Cruise for the part. He kinda looks like Speed Racer.

I didnt like the idea of a speed racer movie but the trailer looked good. On the other hand, as a kid I loved Iron Man comic but cant buy R. Downey Jr. as IRONMAN.

I see it debuts today and some reviews are giving it 4 and a half stars. Would like to hear what anyone thought of it when they see it.

It's going to be on IMAX as well, with 3 IMAX theatres near us at least one of them should be playing it.

Update: I was right it is playing at the IMAX in Dublin and it 2 hours and 15 minutes long.

Ironically, Iron Man is supposed to be good and Speed Racer is supposed to suck.

Both movies look very cool IMO but I'm a DVD sorta guy so I'll be waiting...

I did pick up a Speed Racer 1/24 scale model though...  :)

Took my wife and son to see "Ironman" on Tuesday -  :wow:  We liked it so much we're going to see it again.

I was a big Speed Racer fan as a kid, but I'm kind of leery of the movie.

I remember watching it after school too.  :burnout:  In today's paper up here, they said the movie had no plot and basically stunk.  Maybe I'll wait until it hits the video stores in a couple of days.

I heard theres a site with a leaked out Iron Man movie.  It's like the guy taped it in the theater.

You can hear people eating popcorn or something in the background...   :roflsmiley:  :smilielol:
