Well how important is vacuum to you , are you using power brakes etc .
 the 557 has long duration & overlap & makes awesome power 3000-7000+ rpm but is not street friendly

A vacuum canister might solve that. It helped me.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

Exactly how do you hook up a vacuum canister ?

two opposites apply here , first you want a wild cam but you need vacuum & low end power
the K 58 should be ideal for what you are doing , I assume you wil be using headers , Engle can help you dial in exactly what specs to grind the cam at to match what you are doing ,
For street engine I really believe you need a milder cam with trong midrange to perform well
Yes I plan to run headers, I will give them a call when I get closer.  How about the intake?  I assume for my application a dual plane would be better.  How is the P5153525 Mopar intake?  It looks pretty decent for a dual plane.

I like either the eddy RPM or the Holley street dom , the Holley is better for air cleaner / hood clearance
the Mopar intake you listed looks similar to  the RPM & may be the same part :dunno: :dunno:

You can get em from Summit for about $50 I  think. You just have the vacuum line going to the power brake booster go to the vacuum cannister first, then to the booster.

they are easy to connect into the system but they only store extra vacuum & if you hit the brakes 3-4 times without rebuilding vacuum you will lose brake power

this is the hydraulic cam i have in my motor it mjakes 569hp at 5600rpm and 495 torque at 3200 rpm on my 472 with shell gas. total torque was 577 at 4300rpm.

246 with 550 lift and 253 with 560 lift and 110 degrees seperation. It was ordered from comp cam

i think its pretty good  ?

I had a vacuum reserve canister on my Chally with a Comp Cams cam that was put in it 20 years ago, I am changing to a cam that CP gave a thumbs up to (Lunati Voodoo) The canisters are just like CP said,if you hit the brakes more than twice your boost is gone. You are better off using the " newer way of thinking cams " that are available now Lunati,Engle, etc. Quick valve lift ramps,lower duration and good lift,you get good low end torque,descent idle/vacuum and power up stairs too. :2cents:
