Looks good Cody.  If you want to borrow my welder (just a 110 miller but perfect for bodywork) give me a call.  I also have a spotweld driller that you could borrow.  If I was you I'd lean towards the new full quarters from AMD, drill the spotwelds yourself and take the quarters off.  Then pay to get the rail/structural stuff done and then spotweld the new quarters back on yourself, just practice a bunch first.  Let me know, Tyler

Hey Tyler, I'll give you a call if I decide to do the sheetmetal work myself. With the way the economy is looking, looks like I'll be doing it myself. I've been eyeballing the full AMD quarters since they first came out. Jeremy (from AMD) said he'd give me a great deal on them when I want to purchase them. I still need to come and check out your cars sometime. I got the Charger out of the garage (pushed haha) today to air out.

Not much to report progress wise...unless you count taking a tire off to pump up, then pushing the car out, cleaning it up and airing it out I also noticed in the second picture, I missed a few spots with the black on the grille. Gonna have to do that.

Well, I've considered doing my own work but its too rusted for me to do. It needs a new rear frame rail, new torsion bar crossmember, etc etc.

I know this was a really long time ago but do you still need a rear frame rail and tortion bar crossmember. If so would one off of a oh idk 69 coronet work, are all b-bodies 68-70 the same frame

i might beable  to get you some of those, the 68 coronet police car i have was cut in half years ago and someone was using the engine and tranny to power a saw mill but they just drug the front ennd of the car around to where ever they needed it and hooked it up. They welded somesort of brace to the torion bar crossmember, the brace is still there but the tortion bar crossmember is super solid, no rust thru anywhere, they did however blow a small hole in it with the welder but it could easily be welded up, I will try to get you some pics tomorrow, i could sell it to you pretty cheap, since you did get me a lead on anothor car

Hey didnt get around to looking at the tortion bar crossmember, so it will probably be next weekend before i can go look at it. Cant get much done during the week with school and work, Im sure you know all about that. also it has super solid front frame rails, are yours bad, the only problem with them is someone cut the core support out and took the front 2 or so inches of the frame rails with it. Let me know

hey man i got to thinking and you told me the estimate to do all the body work to your car was 15-25K. Other then the hood and quarters, what all is wrong with the car, my dad does body work for a living and i have helped him a lot and i know what he chargers to do stull and it just doesnt seem like it should be that high. Is that include having the car painted too?

Looks good so far Cody. I agree that it shouldn't be that much, try and do as much as you can. Thats what I am doing, but I am getting a lot of help from my dad and friends who do this stuff for a living.
