You might want to double check on the crank in that as well, it might not have been factory drilled for a pilot bushing for a 4 speed in which case you would have to run an auto. I bought a 440 from an RV 3 years ago and was dissapointed to find that it was going to take a crap load of work to modify it for a 4 speed, It's not a huge problem but you do have to remove the crank and have it drilled and re-balanced and more than likely it's a cast crank, so if you are going to go through all the trouble of converting to a 4 gear, you might as well just find a steel crank to fit that rascle.
