Try this:

L25 L31 ??? R11 V5X EN2
V1X   U   B41 C16 C56 G36
GK6 A6X9 000 731 440482
E44  D34  JH23  636 697962

The code with the question marks is out of sequence so it's probably not correct. Really late build car.

L21 should be M21

636 in the VIN should be G3B

Is 697962 597962 maybe?

GK6, assuming we've correctly decoded the tag.

Is that pretty much the same color as the burnt orange?  Guess I have a lot to learn, huh. :dunno:

Mannix Convertibles - Private eye Joe Mannix on the detective drama MANNIIX/CBS/1967-75 drove around in a variety of vehicles during the show's eight year run.

From 1968 to 1972 Joe Mannix drove a number of dark green Plymouth cars including a 1968 Dodge Dart (383 engine); a 1969 Dodge Dart - (340 engine); a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS convertible (340 V8 Engine); a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda convertible( 340 Engine, 4-barrel carburetor); a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible (440 Engine, 4-barrel carburetor); and a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda convertible (383 Engine, 4-barrel carburetor).

During the 1973-74 season, Mannix drove a bronze-colored 1973 Dodge Challenger Hardtop (340 Engine, 4-barrel carburetor).

Maybe you could watch the 73-74 season of mannix and see your bronze metallic challenger in the flesh.  Just my 2¢.

Below is a '73 RoadRunner autumn bronze metallic

Chuck,
when is that pic from? and whatever happened to that car? if that had a SE rear window id put money on it being my car. it had been painted that color, with side moulding, and the rear bumper pushed in. I have history on it after the mid 80's here in Baltimore, Maryland. its a long shot, maybe everyone backed into Telephone Poles back then.....
