Just Venting A Little. . .
« on: January 31, 2004 - 11:04:22 PM »
Who knows a cool trick to "add" a vent connection to a challenger gas tank?  Our challenger filler tube has an outlet near the top of the tube, and we have the original vent tube that went from there to the original tank- to a vent port I barely remember.  But the original tank was so rusted I ordered another from a supplier of GoodMark tanks-  they never asked and I never thought to specify a vent tube type.  Now my tank is painted and I'm installing it- and scratching my head, (and kicking somewhere else) cuz there's no way to attach this.  What can I do??  Any pics of your vent tube arrangements would be helpful, too.  Thanks much guys.

My vent tubing was clogged, so I cheated and drilled a small hole in my inner gas cap. I have the flip-top kind. If you have just a regular cap on it, there probably is enough air getting in anyway.
