Well, dec 23rd I pulled the bumpers, grill, and spash pans back off my car. And today dec 26th, I drove it down to the paint shop and they took it in right away and started on the car while I was there. I am really excited. been waiting awhile. It's not a rotissery job or anything like that. Just block sanding, straighten a couple of outer dents from something in the trunk at sometime shaking around and hitting the sides. I just ordered the factory stripe kit 5 minutes ago, so it will be here by monday. My car will be done saturday this week. When I left the body shop, they were re hanging the fenders to put them in line better with the body and doors. I bought all the supplies and paint and it cost me 2 69 super bee ram charger hoods and 400 bucks to paint the car. I thought I did ok. I will get some pics posted on here when it's finished. I will still have to mount the scoops. And put the barracuda emblems on the fenders plus put the chrome edge back on the trunk lip and rear quarters. For now, I will have to install the old chrome and find new as I go. I will also have to find wheel lips moldings at a reasonable price. So far I found them for 265 plus shipping. I think I can do better. The trunk chrome is hard to find at a good deal as well.

Alan thanks for the up date. You did pretty good on the price of the paint job. I had to pay $200.00 to rent the paint booth at a shop my buddy works at and I gave him a complete 68 B-body rear end for his help as he painted it for me as I do have not painted a complete car in years. I bought all the paint and this was a good way for me to get off very cheap.

Yes , the stripe is tomato red and white floresent. It cost 135 plus priority shipping and insurance. I didn't get a total, but i'm sure the reciept will be in the box. I will take pictures of the stripe kit as it came to me before I install it. I got the flue right now so I may not get to work on the car much after it comes back to me.

Alan,
I'm sorry to hear you got the flu bug. I'm a little under the weather myself with a cold so today I took a drive to Saint Louis to look at some classic muscle cars at Fast Lane auto and Gateway classic cars. Lots of great mopar muscle cars but I forgot my camera so no pictures. Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon so you can work on your Barracuda when it's finished being painted.

Alan I hope you get over the flue soon.  Got my flue shot yesterday and a lot of blood taken for tests.  It got me down yesterday but feel much better today. I think I have passed everything for my new job now.  Just have to get my shots but can not do that till the 3rd of Jan.

Thanks for the replies. And like a fool. I got dressed and went over to look at my car. Knowing all well I shouldn't be going outside. But I honestly feel better if i'm moving and doing something. Setting still makes my bones ache. Oh yes, they were wet sanding my car when I had gotten there. They had finished aligning the doors and re hanging the fenders. I can't wait to bring it back home and put it back together againg. Then finish the exhaust out through the tips.

I brought the car home tonight. The shop called and said they needed to paint another car (56 dodge truck customized) tomorrow and didnt want to risk over spray on my car. I didn't get pictures tonight___---SORRY---___   It took about all my energy to get it home. I am sick and every bone and muscle in my body is burning with pain to move around.  After some sleep, I will charge the batteries in the camera and post a picture, but, the car still needs the pans, grill, bumpers and other items re installed. I might wait till I feel better before I start assembling it again...NOT!!!!! I will be on it like a fly on stink tomorrow :roflsmiley: aching ,sore and all :2thumbs:
