'70 Challenger RT/SE Tail panel, Black or argent?

My R/T SE has an argent one and I'm 99% sure it's never been changed.

The tail panel on my '73 was originally argent, but I had it done in body color when I had the car painted, because the argent didn't look right with a white car with black stripes.  Body color or black would be my vote on a '70.

My R/T SE has an argent tail and although it was replaced in 1977, the original was also argent. I know the last time we talked about this I noticed that cars with bumblebee stripes had an argent panel, but nothing was ever confirmed. It seems that it was a hit or miss deal on the tail panel, some had black and some had argent.

Like I said , I like the black.  And since my B stripe wasn't true to factory, I made a change in how the valence was painted also.

It is supposed to be Dk/Med Argent . I like it on my car , but I like the black on your Yellow car, especially with the V9X.

my F8 was argent
