I am doing a Hoover dam bus tour on Friday and then the show Saturday.  Most if not all tours will pick you up and return you to your hotel as part of the tour too and you can do land, air or water.
I would also like to do the Hoover Dam tour if possible.
It looks pretty impressive.
How long is the bus trip?
I went to the Three Gorges Dam in China back in 2002, and that was very cool to see,
so I would really like to see the Hoover
 Thanks 70.

Hi
Im coming all the way from Lil o England!!!!!!!!
anyone staying at Luxor???????????

You got a hell of a plane trip ahead of ya  :faint:
My first choice was actually The Luxor, having went to Egypt back in 1997.

It definitely stood out as a place I would have liked to stay while in Vegas,
But I just could not catch a deal for The Luxor.
How long are you staying here for by the way?
Is this your first time coming to the United States?

Many of the tours are 5-6 hours hotel to hotel and I booked Hoover dam in the morning on and a city tour for the night.  We left Sunday open as a free day so if we really like the show we can go then too or after getting the city tour if anything else stands out that we want to do then that's open too.  The city tour is partially to get ideas of what else to do.  Many web sites out there for this stuff and the typical site is probably www.lasvegas.com.

R/T, are you flying United all the way thru or United and Ted? All the United gates are on concource B and some of the Ted gates are on A and you need to take the train, all pretty quick you should be ok unless your first flight is late.

70cuda and R/T, the dam is a 30-45min drive from the strip and I think the dam tour is about 1hr.
A 6hr bus tour? hopefully they take you by some other stuff........

Eurocuda, welcome, the Luxor is nice and has a good location on the strip w/free tram and over street corner walkways so its easy to walk around, there is a monorail that goes between MGM and Sahara on the east side of the strip with stops in between for $9 day pass. Did you go last year????

Thanks Guys

Yes- I went last year and loved it. The flight is about 10 hours but worth it! The event is fantastic- weather was great last year too- Especially after 6 months of cold wet weather in England. Stayed at Luxor last year and thought it was fantastic - Its at the right end of the strip and right in he action. Also stayed at the Stratosphere the year before which was also good!

Always been to the states with the wife and kids previously- this year its just me and a buddy so plenty of partying this time :bananasmi

Dollars exchange rate is good for us guys at the moment so am also coming to look for a Mopar to replace the Cuda which is up for sale-

Anyway - if anyone fancies meeting for some beers at the track or downtown PM me-!!

United from Boston to Denver..................United for Ted from Denver to Las Vegas.
Thanks for the gate info
I called Denver International airport, and was told that there will be no problem, as the United/Ted terminals are all grouped together, (guy was a bit of a jack@ss I might add  >:( )
Not sure if he just wanted to get off the phone or not, but I will be calling again to try and talk to a decent human being this time.
70cuda and R/T, the dam is a 30-45min drive from the strip and I think the dam tour is about 1hr.
That I think I can swing (3hrs. roughly  )
Though my main goal right now is to head to the Valley of Fire for the sunrise, and see as much there as possible on Sunday

Thanks for the additional info there 70

Hey Euro, glad to hear your stay at the Stratosphere was good

Would love to join ya for a drink or twelve, but I screwed up bad last year, and I'm "trying"  :pullinghair: to stay on the right side of the tracks this year, (though I've been known to fall off the wagon many a time  :bricks1:  :drunk: )

 When are you flying in?

Euro, Thanks for the pic's! love the petty blue 6-pak lid.... and hoping to get some pics of that 68 bronze metalic charger this year, have one but no-where as nice....

R/T, United's customer service sucks and have been losing market share here, next time fly Frontier or Southwest.

I will be up for beers any time after parking the rental car....
