Not everywhere can you find it but Krylon Fusion comes in Satin Black. I think it's pretty close to the original finish on my steering column & metal dash.

I own a 71 Superbee with the same cassette player and I used the following on all my vinyl plastics.  Work extremely well !! I can post some pictures later.

Sem color coat flexible paint worked great for me. It is semi gloss black color. The number is 15013 and it was called Landau Black and looks great in my 70 Cuda.

I did mine with the krylon fusion satin almond white or something...

You can tell in the last pic that the front ones werent done at the time, came out looking just as nice.

A word of caution, the paint will chip if nicked hard enough.  For instance, dont let your seatbelt retract without hanging on to it, it retracts and hits the panel, chipping it.  Finally figured it out after it was chipped 10 times or so.   :stomp: :misbehaving: :bricks1:

Also, before you paint, wipe it with acetone, mineral spirits or something to clean any armorall or anything.   :2thumbs:

Rustoleum has a satin black that also works well.  It is in puff cans also.  You can very the gloss or lack of it by the distance to the part being sprayed. It works equaly well on metal and plastic and has held up well in south Florida's sun where car interiors can reach 200 degrees.

I prefer the napa, martin senour paints, products.  Also know as TECnique.
Before I install the black I always purchase the Flexible parts primer #7225.  This keeps the paint from chipping off the vinyl.
Next I use the Vinyl Semi Gloss Black #7268.  This works well but I usually require around 3 coats as I spray very light so as not to have any runs or inperfections.
Before I use these products I usually use warm water and soap then I rinse once using xylene or xylol.  Also know as goof off.  The goof off has more alcohol content so it evaporates even faster than the straight xylene.
This process has provided me with great surfaces that are highly resistent to chipping and cracking from being a flexible part.
These parts can usually be readily purchased from any NAPA store.  If they don't have them in stock you can have them order them as I have had to do in the past.  I live in the middle of nowhere rocky mountains.
   Good luck.
